I Accidentally Slept With My Future Brother In Law Chapter 10

Liu leaned in again, his voice soft as freshly baked soufflé.

“Sister, if you need money to run away, I have some. Don’t leave. Silver String Hall will lose its

greatest admirer.”

The fat chef nodded. “Exactly! Use up your gold first, then leave!”

Diana was swayed, her gaze fixed on Silver String Hall.

I was swayed too.

Three heavy gold pouches gone, my stored wine half-finished, dozens of gold coins left

unspent.

Leaving now would hurt too much.

“Fine.” I gritted my teeth and pulled my hood lower. “We’ll spend first, then run!”

Silver String Hall, private second-floor box.

Thick velvet curtains were drawn tight.

Only a few crystal candlesticks cast dim, intimate light.

Six young musicians, all rosy-lipped and fair, wore tight silk shirts, their figures graceful.

Their new court dance was truly stunning.

Soft waists, long legs, their skirts blooming like flower petals as they spun.

With the soft melody of lutes and harps, it was a feast for eyes and ears.

I lounged back on a cushioned chair, swirling a glass of deep red wine, staring entranced.

I pulled gold coins from my velvet waist pouch and tapped them on the table one by one, the

clink bright and pleasing.

“This, for the choreographer.”

“This, for the musicians.”

“This, for you six to split.”

“And the rest of my balance-all for you.”

The boys took the coins, eyes red again. “Sister, you’re so good to us…”

“Sister, if you leave, we’ll have no one to look after us.”

“Sister, take us with you!”

“Sister, do you need someone to carry your bags? I’ll do any work!”

I looked at their young, handsome faces and actually considered it.

Bring a few for entertainment on the road?

It wasn’t a bad idea…

Just as I was thinking, a roar exploded from the door.

“GET OUT!”

The door was kicked open, crashing against the wall.

Elian stood in the doorway.

He wore a blue knight’s tunic, his sword glinting coldly at his waist, his face dark with rage.

He grabbed the nearest performer by the collar and tossed him aside like a chick.

“GET OUT!”

The performer’s face flushed red. “Who do you think you are, barging in?”

“Yeah,” another chimed in. “Miss doesn’t like rude brutes like you!”

“Look at your sun-tanned skin-like rough leather.” Another scoffed. “Miss only likes refined,

fair gentlemen like us.”

Elian’s jaw tightened. His face turned black as thunder.

He strode up to me, staring down at me, his blue eyes blazing with anger.

“Isolde Karel.”

“What?”

“Come back to the manor with me.”

“No.”

“Then I’ll die right here.”

I rolled my eyes. He was impossible.

“You think I won’t do it?” He turned and threw himself at the stained-glass window.

I reacted fast, grabbing his wide leather belt. “Are you crazy?!”

Elian acted like a tyrant inside Silver String Hall’s box.

A performer brought a silver tray to pour wine. He snatched the cup. “Give it here.”

One dared to step forward to dance.

He waved him away like a fly.

“Shameless nonsense!”

“This cheap trick is only fit for country farmers!”

The pushed performer clutched his chest, tears in his eyes as he looked at me. “My lady…”

“What are you looking at?” Elian stepped between him and me, hand on his sword hilt.

“Take one more step and I’ll chop your legs off for firewood!”
