His Memory Reset To Love, My Heart Stuck At Goodbye Chapter 09

Before me stood two figures, one large and one small, 

Alexander and Liam. 

Liam had grown so much; he was already a teenager. 

The moment he saw me, his eyes welled with tears. 

Alexander, calm and composed as ever, still couldn’t help 

stepping toward me. 

“Vivi… you’ve changed so much.” 

I met his complicated gaze with a soft smile. 

Years of quiet creation had given me a new grace, and the 

scars on my face were gone. 

For them, it was a transformation too. 

And at this moment, facing them, I realized: The wound in 

my heart had long since healed. 

I nodded politely and tried to step past them. 

Alexander grabbed my hand abruptly. “Vivi, let’s talk later. 

This isn’t the place to make a scene.” 

I frowned. “Make a scene? I’m here to receive an award.” 

They didn’t believe it, until I walked onstage. Then came the 

shock. 

As usual, my song played in the background. 

When the melody filled the room, Liam rose to his feet. 

He stared at me as I stood onstage, thanking the audience 

with quiet grace, his eyes filled with shock. 

He had never imagined that the mother he had once 

resented could sing, and sing so beautifully. 

Alexander, beside him, full of awe and nostalgia, knew. He 

had always known my musical talent. 

I could compose, and I had a natural, captivating voice. Once 

lacking depth, now it could move hearts. 

After the ceremony, I prepared to leave, but Alexander and 

Liam once again blocked my path backstage. “Vivi… we need 

to talk.” 

I frowned and stepped away from him. “I don’t think there’s 

anything left to discuss.” 

Alexander’s voice trembled with urgency. “That day, you 

misunderstood. I wasn’t planning a surprise for Selina. I 

wanted to clarify that you are my wife.” 

I let out a faint, mocking smile. “Wife?” 

“Alexander… do you need me to remind you? Our marriage 

certificate was fake.” 

“And do you really think a belated explanation can erase the 

hurt you caused me?” 

His gaze faltered as he added frantically, “I know I was 

completely wrong… these years I’ve been looking for you, 

trying everything to make amends.” 

“Vivi… Just say the word, I’ll do anything….” 

I took a deep breath, a flicker of irritation rose in me. 

“Alexander, no matter what you do, I will never forgive you. 

From the moment I left, I treated it as the end of everything 

between us.” 

Ignoring his pained expression, I started to walk away. 

“Mom…” 

I paused, glancing at the child I had cared for six years. 

He was more restrained than his father, not rushing forward. 

He bit his lip and looked at me deeply. “I’m sorry…” 

I withdrew my gaze and said lightly, “Don’t call me Mom 

anymore.” 

Tears instantly spilled from his eyes. 

“Mommy!” The sweet, childish voice rang out. 

Both Alexander and Liam froze at the sound.
