The elevator doors opened.

Someone stood outside my apartment.

He carried a massive amount of resentment.

Like an abandoned husband.

It was Julian.

I had no idea how he had found this place.

His eyes were dark.

“Who was the man who drove you back?”

I looked at him.

“It has nothing to do with you.”

Julian laughed in anger.

“Nothing to do with me?”

He pressed his tongue against his back teeth and stepped closer.

“You vanished suddenly, cut off contact, and now you’re tangled up with some man.”

When he spoke again, his voice was full of pressure.

“Leah Brooks, and you’re telling me it has nothing to do with me?”

“Did you forget you’re my girlfriend?”

“Hm?”

I laughed too.

“Did you forget we already broke up?”

Julian looked confused.

I sneered.

Of course he hadn’t taken my words seriously.

Julian knew he was in the wrong.

After thinking for a full thirty seconds, he finally remembered.

“But I didn’t agree.”

“And you want to break up with me just because I photographed Vanessa?”

He looked at me as if I were being ridiculous.

“Are you being too childish?”

A heavy sense of helplessness swept over me.

Even now, Julian still thought I was just jealous.

I sighed.

“Julian, let’s end this.”

Julian stared at me for a few seconds.

“You’re sure?”

I did not hesitate.

“Yes. I’m sure.”

I had expected him to keep pestering me.

But to my surprise, Julian stayed calm.

“Fine.”

“Let me tell you something first.”

“The second I announce I’m single again, my phone will blow up in less than a minute.”

“I can have any kind of woman I want.”

“As for you…”

Mockery rose in Julian’s eyes.

“I’m probably the ceiling of what you can get in this life.”

Julian wasn’t wrong.

I didn’t want to argue with him.

Seeing that I still looked calm, Julian suddenly got angry.

With a loud crash, he kicked over the trash can beside him.

Julian threw down the threat:

“If I regret this, I’m a dog.”
