Dorothy looked completely stunned.

I ignored her wide-eyed expression and went straight back to my room to sleep.

“What’s that?”

Hannah immediately dropped the sad expression and smiled as she lifted the bag.

“You’re too thoughtful.”

Jase took the bag.

Inside were two cups of coffee.

Without thinking, he picked one up and handed it to Hannah.

The two of them stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, talking about where she wanted to rent an apartment.
