He Streamed My Fifth Abortion For Her Chapter 07

He Streamed My Fifth Abortion For Her Chapter 07

Damien spent three straight days looking for me.

He called more than a hundred times. Every call went straight to a powered-off phone.

He pulled every favor the Sterling family could offer, checking airport manifests, train departures, hotel registrations, anything that might leave a trace.

Nothing.

It was as if Clara Harrington had been erased from Los Angeles overnight.

On the fourth day, he showed up at my mother’s house.

The front door cracked open.

My mother looked at him with the same cold indifference she’d give a complete stranger.

“Mrs. Harrington,” Damien said carefully. “Is Clara here? I need to talk to her.”

“No.”

“I know you have every reason to be angry, but this is all a misunderstanding…”

“A misunderstanding?”

She opened the door just enough for half her face to show.

“Damien, my daughter was married to you for three years. She lost nearly seventy pounds. She aborted four

babies. She almost died on an operating table.”

His face drained of color.

“I kept asking what was wrong with her. She always said she was fine. I asked why she looked so sick. She

told me it was morning sickness.”

Her voice began to shake.

“Four pregnancies. Four excuses. And I believed her every single time.”

“The day before yesterday, she finally told me everything.”

She stared straight into his eyes.

“Do you know what I felt after hearing it?”

“I wanted to stab you myself.”

“Mrs. Harrington, I…”

“What?”

She yanked the door completely open and planted herself in the doorway, blocking the entrance.

“You came looking for her? For what?”

“So you could drag her back and let them cut out the rest of her reproductive organs?”

“I never…”

She cut him off.

“The surgical consent form. Was that forged too?”

“The recording where you clearly said you approved the hysterectomy, was that fake?”

Damien couldn’t answer.

She looked at him for a long moment before letting out a bitter laugh.

“My daughter is too kind.”

“Before she left, she actually told me not to hate you too much. She said you’d been manipulated.”

“But I’m not that forgiving.”

Her voice turned ice cold.

“If you ever come back here again, I’ll send those recordings straight to your father.”

“Let’s see what the Sterling family thinks after they find out exactly what their perfect heir did.”

The door slammed shut.

Damien remained standing outside the estate without moving.

A long time passed before he finally turned around, got into his car, and drove away.

Caleb sat in the passenger seat.

“No luck?”

Damien didn’t answer. He simply started the engine.

Caleb sighed.

“What exactly were you hoping to accomplish if you found her?”

“I wanted to explain.”

“Explain what?”

Caleb turned to look at him.

“That you didn’t mean to authorize Vivian’s hysterectomy because you were actually trying to authorize your

wife’s?”

“You really think that sounds any better?”

Damien gripped the steering wheel so tightly the veins in his hands bulged.

“I never wanted Clara to lose her uterus. The doctor said the bleeding couldn’t be stopped…”

“Oh, come on.”

Caleb’s voice was flat.

“When the doctor asked for permission, you looked at Vivian.”

“She nodded.”

“And you agreed.”

“That was your wife’s body.”

“But you let another woman make the decision for her.”

Silence settled over the car.

Finally Damien spoke, his voice rough.

“She was five months pregnant.”

“Where could she possibly have gone?”

“She was already so weak.”

“How is she supposed to survive by herself?”

Caleb didn’t answer immediately.

After a while, he reached into his pocket and handed Damien a folded note.

“She asked me to give you this.”

“She said you’d show up at her mom’s house on the fourth day.”

Damien snatched it from him.

Only a few lines were written inside.

[Stop looking for me.

You won’t find me.

But when this baby is born, I’ll send you a picture.

I want you to see what a living child who belongs only to the Harrington family looks like.]

His hand trembled as he held the note.

Caleb stared at the road ahead before quietly saying,

“The biggest mistake you ever made wasn’t believing Vivian.”

“It was that you never really looked at your wife.”
