He Saved A Spot For Her, Leaving No Room For Me Chapter 07

[Permission 6: My Wedding Account]

Device: Ethan’s old tablet.

Location: The Pines.

Tessa lunged for the microphone.

“Stop playing that!”

The staff held her back.

Ethan instinctively reached to steady her.

I looked at him.

His hand froze then slowly dropped.

I played the video.

On the surveillance footage, Tessa sat in the living room at The Pines, using my small wedding

account to send her own cut-wrist photo to the wedding group chat.

After sending it, she touched up her lipstick in front of the camera.

The crowd went wild.

“Oh my God-she sent it herself?”

“Isn’t that just wrong?”

“Ethan called the police? Are you kidding me?”

Tessa stumbled back, still crying.

“Iris, why are you making all this up?”

“Do you hate me that much?”

I hit play on the final audio recording.

Tessa’s voice came through the speakers.

“Once she makes a scene, Ethan will feel even more sorry for me.”

“She’s the type who cares too much about her pride-just say she’s emotionally unstable and she’ll

never be able to defend herself.”

“Either way, Ethan will back me up.”

The room went dead silent.

The victim act on Tessa’s face cracked-slowly, visibly.

Ethan’s face turned pale.

“You lied to me?”

Tessa looked at him, then suddenly laughed.

“So what if I sent it?”

“What does Iris have to be so upset about?”

“She has you, a wedding, a house, and her mother’s money.”

“What about me?”

She pointed at me, her eyes venomous.

“I’ve had to fight for every single thing I’ve ever gotten.”

“I just wanted a better life. Is that wrong?”

I looked at her.

“There’s nothing wrong with wanting a better life.”

“What’s wrong is treating my life like your free household card.”

Tessa screamed, “If Ethan hadn’t given me the permissions, could I have taken any of it?”

That line landed like a slap across Ethan’s face.

He stood there, his face ashen.

Ethan’s mother pointed at Tessa and cursed, “You are a curse on this family! Who let you into the Sullivan family?”

Tessa sneered. “Didn’t you say I was better behaved than Iris?”

“Didn’t you say she was an orphan with no family-easy to control?”

Ethan’s mother’s face went purple.

The guests had completely turned.

“What kind of wedding is this?”

“The bride got destroyed.”

“The guy’s family isn’t innocent either-they enabled all of it.”

Ethan looked pinned to the floor by the whispers.

I turned off the screen and pulled out a cancellation notice.

“Today’s wedding is canceled.”

“I’ll sue to recover the joint account funds.”

“And I’m filing a police report for identity theft and malicious framing.”

Ethan finally rushed over and grabbed my arm.

“Iris.”

“Don’t.”

One by one, I pried his fingers off.

“From today on, you don’t have permission to touch me.”

His hand dropped.

His eyes were red.

“Iris, I really didn’t know she’d go this far.”

I looked at him.

“You knew she’d cry.”

“You knew she’d be scared.”

“You knew she needed you.”

“But you never knew that I could hurt too.”
