He Said Don’t Wait, So I Married Someone Else Chapter 27

It was Noah.
He stormed in like a winter gale, his face a mask of cold fury. He didn’t even look at me. His gaze, sharp as ice picks, was fixed on Garrett.
“Stay away from my wife, Whitaker.”
The smug smile on Garrett’s face froze, then contorted into a mask of shock and humiliation. “Caldwell? What the hell are you doing here?”
“Perfect timing,” Noah said with a humorless laugh, striding to the table and glancing down at the affidavits. “I assume you were just showing your ex-fiancée some of your more compelling evidence.” He mimicked Garrett’s earlier tone, dripping with contempt.
“This is solid, and you know it,” Garrett blustered, trying to regain his footing.
“Is it?” Noah pulled out his phone, unlocked it, and turned the screen toward Garrett. A video started to play.
It was the Ring camera footage from my old apartment. Garrett’s face was twisted in rage as he jabbed a finger toward the door, his voice, now audible, echoing in the quiet room. *“Do you have any idea how to be supportive, Maya? Sloane needs me! Why do you always have to be so difficult?”*
