He Paid Me To Strip So I Smashed His Head Instead Chapter 18

Back home, I started worrying about money again.

Heh. Run into the male leads, squeeze some cash out of them. That’s the way.

When the comments saw I was heading to The Nocturne, they didn’t rage. They just seemed dead

inside.

[At this point, nothing the rival does would surprise me.]

[Rival’s like a ghost haunting the male leads. They’re doomed.]

[Can we just let the male leads walk around freely?]

[Male leads suffering, garbage clinging.]

I grinned at the comments. “Nope. I’m sticking to them like glue. Even as a ghost, I won’t let them

go.”

“Hehe.”

Make money and annoy everyone. Double win.

I worked at The Nocturne for a few days.

Finally, I caught a break.

Lucas, Chloe, and their whole crew went to the top-floor VIP room. I volunteered, sweet-talked the manager, and got the job upstairs. Seeing I was pretty and persuasive, he agreed.

The comments were numb.

[Sweet talker? What is the manager smoking?]

[This woman is too good at faking.]

[What’s her scheme this time?]

[Which male lead is doomed?]

[Upstairs… maybe it’s not just the male leads…]

I walked in. A group was playing a drinking game.

When I came in, one of the sycophants called out.

“Yo, isn’t this our Miss Sterling? What, playing cosplay now?”

The crowd of men and women laughed.

I set down the tray. Rolled my wrist and walked up to him.

Maybe the image of me smashing a bottle over Lucas’s head was still fresh, because the guy looked scared but tried to act tough. “W-what do you want?”

I smiled. “Move.”

He instinctively stood up.

I sat in his seat.

Lucas glanced at me, silent.

Ethan sat beside Chloe, his look at me extremely weird.

Xavier sat on the other sofa, not joining the game.

The sycophant’s face fell, but he didn’t dare say more and found another seat.

I beamed. “What are we playing? Can I join?”

Chloe snapped out of her daze and smiled sweetly. “King’s game, Serena sister.”

King’s game. Whoever drew king could order anyone in the room to do anything.

I nodded. “Okay, let’s start.”

My luck was terrible.

I didn’t draw king the first few rounds.

Whether they planned it or not, the people who became king kept ordering me around.

“Serena Sterling, sing a song.”

“Serena Sterling, drink this cup of alcohol.”

“Serena Sterling…”

The first few rounds were normal.

Then it got worse.

“Serena Sterling, bark like a dog twice.”

The sycophant drew king. He looked at me triumphantly.

I showed no expression and went, “Woof woof.”

Laughter erupted around us.

Maybe the bullying was too obvious, even the live comments felt bad for me.

[Isn’t this group going too far?]

[Aren’t they just ganging up on the rival love interest?]

[Wait, guys. This is the evil female supporting role. Why does everyone love her while hating her?]

[Why doesn’t Chloe stop it? She got bullied before. Doesn’t she know it feels terrible to be targeted?]

[? What kind of delusional comment is that from the upstairs user? The one bullying the female

lead is the rival love interest.]

The game continued.

This time, Lucas drew king.

I braced for him to mess with me.

But Lucas looked at thecophant. “Craw syl out of The Nocturne.”

The sycophant’s face changed. He tried to refuse, but met Lucas’s cold gaze.

Lucas wasn’t smiling anymore. He looked icy.

The sycophant gritted his teeth and crawled out on his knees.

I didn’t feel much about Lucas protecting me.

After all, he made me strip at first.

Lucas and that sycophant were the same to me.

After speaking, Lucas stopped playing too. He leaned back on the sofa, tired.

Ethan took a call and left the game.

The game went on.

This time, my luck was great. I drew king.

Finally achieved my goal.

I immedelyiat looked at Chloe Summers.

Chloe felt uneasy under my stare.

I smiled. “Give me One hundred thousand dollars.”

Chloe froze, then gave me a stiff smile and transferred the money.

Just as I was about to leave, Chloe stopped me.

“Serena sister, let’s play one last round.”

Chloe looked pretty pissed.

I nodded.

This time, Chloe drew king.

She showed a malicious grin.

But because she was pretty, even with malice, she looked cute.

Chloe’s sweet voice rang out. “Serena sister, kiss any male in the room.”

She winked at me, looking completely innocent.

Probably seeing I was already hated by everyone, Chloe didn’t bother pretending pure and harmless in front of the male leads anymore.

I met Chloe’s eyes.

She sat across from me, still smiling sweetly.

Under everyone’s gaze, I climbed over the table and stood before her. I cupped her head and kissed

her deeply.

So soft. Really sweet.

Chloe froze, completely stunned. She even forgot to push me away.

The others were shocked too.

The live comments exploded.

[???????]

[What? What am I seeing? Am I hallucinating?]

[Hahahahaha. Great. Just great. The plot finally twisted into something I don’t recognize.]

Chloe was dazed, staring blankly.

I took the chance to part her lips.

Our tongues tangled.

For a long while.

I finally left Chloe’s lips.

A shiny string connected our lips.

Chloe blinked hazily.

I smirked wickedly. “Satisfied, you little vixen?”

Chloe finally snapped back to reality.

Her face turned bright red.

She was furious.

Chloe frantically wiped her mouth.

“Serena Sterling!”

She was so mad she didn’t even call me “Serena sister” anymore.

I raised an eyebrow. Still sitting on the table, I slid down to the floor and stood up straight.

Chloe yelled, “You can’t take a loss!”

“I clearly said a male!”

I babbled nonsense, “Sorry, forgot to mention. My gender identity is male.”

Chloe trembled, pointing at me.

I gently took her fingertip and kissed it.

Chloe instantly retracted her hand and wiped the tip in disgust.

Done messing with her, I waved. “Bye, I’m going back to work.”

I packed up the tray, about to walk out.

Suddenly, my throat felt nauseous.

I instinctively tried to suppress it.

But this time, I couldn’t hold it back no matter what.

I vomited a mouthful of blood. The room stared, shocked, as I kept heaving.

Lucas reacted first, rushing over to catch me as I collapsed.

Right before I lost consciousness completely, I saw the comments calling me a fake again.

Acting, scheming, playing the pity card.

Yeah, there was some calculation.

I’d deliberately skipped my meds today, worn myself out, all for this moment.

To make them “see” me, then follow the clues I’d left and seek me out.

In the end, they would have to believe.

But I really did vomit blood. Ugh.

The comments have no heart.

Using my last bit of strength, I flipped off the comments stubbornly. Then, I passed out.
