He Only Sent Me Traffic Lights but Took Wedding Photos with Her Chapter 06

I hadn’t gone far when his bloody hand grabbed me.

“Sophia, give me a reason.”

His voice was raw and broken. His eyes were terrifyingly red, filled with pain and confusion.

It all felt absurd. Almost funny.

How the hell did he pull this off?

He made it look so real, like I was the one who had betrayed him.

Brooke rushed over and pulled me behind her.

“Ethan, you still have the audacity to ask for a reason? Don’t you know exactly what kind of ‘noble deeds’ you’ve done?”

Ethan’s gaze snapped to me, his voice shaking. “What did I do? Sophia, tell me.”

Brooke yanked out her phone, opened Riley’s social media, and shoved the screen in his face.

“Take a look! This is your so-called business trip? This is you being busy at the office?”

On the screen, the two of them were intimately holding each other by the palm-lined shores of

Malibu Beach. Riley nestled against him, a look of absolute bliss on her face.

Scrolling down revealed a sonogram picture with the caption: “Hubby came with me to the prenatal

appointment. Baby’s doing great.”

In the corner, half of Ethan’s arm was visible, wearing the watch I had given him.

There were more shots-him cooking for her, giving her gifts. Every post screamed how happy they

were.

Ethan’s body went rigid. All the color drained from his face.

He opened his mouth, but nothing came out.

After a long pause, he finally forced out, “Sophia, it’s not what you think. This is all a

misunderstanding…”

“Misunderstanding?”

Brooke let out a cold laugh.

“Then explain why you ditched Sophia on her birthday, claiming the company had an emergency, when you were actually with this woman!”

“Or why you claimed you were working late every night but were really cooking dinner for her?”

“Ethan, your acting is Oscar-worthy. What a waste not to go collect that little gold statue!”

Ethan’s lips trembled. He stared at me with desperate eyes. “Sophia, I can explain. Please, you have

to believe me…”

I looked at him, my voice tired. “How am I supposed to believe you? A woman calls you her husband, takes wedding photos with you, carries your child, and wears the diamond ring you bought her. You expect me to believe you?”

“Ethan, don’t you dare label me as the mistress here. Let’s keep whatever civility we have left, so this doesn’t end in a complete disaster.”

He lunged forward and grabbed my wrist again.

His eyes were wild with panic. “No, that’s not it! Sophia, how could you ever be the other woman…”

Blood trickled down from where our hands met, staining my skirt.

Just like how, over all these years, he had completely defiled every ounce of my pure devotion.

He frantically tried to wipe it away, but it only smeared worse.

“I saw her that day outside your office building. She’s beautiful. I hope you’re happy.”
