He Made My Wedding Dress Half a Size Too Small, Then Begged Chapter 03

He Made My Wedding Dress Half a Size Too Small, Then Begged Chapter 03

I took a cab to the hospital to get the glass pulled out of my foot.

Just as I arrived, Liam was helping Victoria out the door.

He spotted me and walked over, his voice ice-cold.

“Emma. Because of you, Victoria’s photos are ruined. You’ve hurt her reputation, and now she’s physically injured. Consider that wedding dress your apology.”

“Since you’re always complaining about the half-size anyway, go pick out a different one from the studio.”

I opened my mouth to tell him I wouldn’t be attending the wedding at all.

But he didn’t spare me another glance. He just turned around and walked away.

I watched his back and walked into the hospital alone.

After my wound was bandaged, a notification popped up on my phone.

Victoria had posted on Vibe.

[Going to the wedding with Liam!]

The photo showed her in the wedding gown, posing with him, both throwing peace signs at the camera.

The caption was frustratingly vague.

[About Mr. Sterling: I can’t quite put it into words, but I always feel safe when he’s around.]

[And huge thanks to him for designing this gorgeous gown—looking forward to a lifetime creative partnership!]

The comments flooded in below.

[What does “a lifetime partnership” mean? Are you two finally going public?]

[They’ve worked together forever—I heard they went to the same college! He really treats her like a princess. You can see it in his eyes.]

[I found his old account! He once said he wanted to design clothes for the girl he loves—guess this is that moment. This is literally a secret-crush story come to life!]

Then they found photos of the three of us together and turned their sights on me.

[Who’s the third wheel? Always wedged between them like a spare part.]

[Keep your distance from my ship, okay?]

[She’s been third-wheeling their entire relationship and still hasn’t taken the hint?]

Someone dug up my account from Liam’s following list, and the hate comments poured in like a tidal wave.

[First time seeing a homewrecker this shameless—posting couple pics like this?]

[Victoria said you were a friend. Does betraying a friend feel good?]

My hands trembled as I posted proof—old couple photos from our college days.

[Liam and I have been together for three years.]

I thought the evidence would shut them down.

Instead, they twisted it. They screenshot old pictures of Liam and Victoria wearing matching rings at an event and posted those.

[Hah, anyone can photoshop. She even posted matching rings from their event, and their wedding photo from today. Quit faking, lady.]

The harassment got even worse.

My hands shaking, I pulled out our wedding invitation and the email thread with the wedding planner and posted those too.

[Is this enough proof now?]

Most of the public fell silent. They turned on Victoria instead and flooded her comment section.

[Victoria—is she telling the truth?]

[Were you the one who broke them up?]

[We defended you, and you lied to us? Is that wedding photo even real?]

Liam called me the second he saw the backlash building against Victoria.

“Emma—are you behind all these comments attacking Victoria?”

“They were attacking me first. I just posted the facts.”

Before I could explain further, Victoria’s sobbing voice came through the speaker on his end.

“Emma, I get that you’re mad Liam gave you the dress, but did you really have to buy hate comments against me? Don’t you know any scandal could ruin my career?”

I kept my voice calm and level. “I didn’t buy anything. Your own post misled people.”

Liam cut in sharply. “Misled them? If you hadn’t gone public about us, Victoria wouldn’t be getting dragged through the mud right now.”

“Emma. Post a statement on your account right now. Say everything you said was false.”

My knuckles turned white around the phone. “And then the mob comes for me instead.”

His voice through the receiver was pure ice. “You’re a nobody. It’ll blow over in a few days. But Victoria is a public figure. She can’t afford this kind of risk.”
