He Made Me Pay Half the Rent, While Giving Her Every Penny of His Bonus Chapter 06

Vivian’s tears timed perfectly for the crowd. Her fragile, pitiful expression made people around her instantly sympathetic.

“Willow even spread rumors that Vivian’s baby is illegitimate. That’s just cruel. She clearly

has a boyfriend. She even posted him on Instagram a few days ago.”

Mrs. Howard somehow pushed her way through the crowd. She grabbed my hand, tears

streaming down her face.

“Willow, I know it’s painful for you that you can’t have children. But you can’t throw dirt on

Julian like this. My son has never lied since he was little.”

Then she turned toward the camera, weeping openly.

“Everyone, please be fair. Over these five years of marriage, I’ve spoiled my daughter-in-law

more than my boy.”

“She said she wanted everything split fifty-fifty, so Julian went along with it. She said she

didn’t want children yet, so we never pressured her.”

“But what about her? Every few days she makes a scene, accusing Julian of cheating,

accusing our whole family of bullying her…”

Her grip tightened around my hand, her voice trembling.

“Willow, please. Let’s just go home, okay? If you’re sick, we’ll get you treatment. Once you’re

better, we’ll still be a family.”

The livestream chat completely turned to one side.

[Mrs. Howard is too kind. She’s still protecting Willow after all this.]

[Can’t have kids, so she accuses her husband of cheating. What kind of twisted psychology is that?]

[I feel sorry for Mr. Howard.]

[Kill yourself, Willow.]

I slowly pulled my hand out of Mrs. Howard’s grip. When I looked down, red marks had already appeared where her nails had dug into my skin.

I opened the final folder on my phone. A traffic accident report filled the large screen.

Attached beneath it was the settlement agreement.

At the bottom was Julian’s full signature.

“Julian,” I said coldly, “tell me what this is. Vivian killed my father in a car accident, and you

secretly signed a settlement agreement behind my back?”

“My father treated you so well. Is this how you repaid him?”

The entire area fell silent. This time, even the livestream chat froze. Julian’s expression finally

changed. Vivian stumbled backward, knocking over a flower stand behind her.

I didn’t stop. One by one, I projected the bank transfer records onto the screen.

The chat exploded.

[So Vivian killed Willow’s father?]

[And Julian signed the settlement agreement? As the son-in-law?]

[Her father was killed by her best friend, and her husband covered it up for years?]

[Julian’s such a monster.]

Julian stared at me with a vicious glare. “You investigated me?”

I met his eyes directly. “When you killed my father, did you ever think this day would come?”

He paused upon hearing my words. Then he suddenly let out a cold laugh. “Willow, just to

frame me, you’re even willing to turn your own father’s death into a story?”

He turned toward the camera, his voice suddenly rising. “Everyone, this so-called settlement

agreement is fabricated by Willow.”

“My father-in-law, Carl Lawrence, did die in a traffic accident, but it was because he ran a red

light and crashed into a guardrail. There was no other driver involved.”

“Everything Willow is showing you is something she forged herself. When her father died, she

was out of town and never got to see him one last time.”

“She’s held that against me for three years. And now she’s even creating fake evidence like

this.”

Once again, crocodile tears slid down his face. “Willow… what exactly do you want from me?”

Mrs. Howard rushed forward again and grabbed my hand tightly.

“Willow, how dare you turn your dad’s death into some sick joke? That was your own father! You… you’d even abandon your father just to frame Julian?”

Mr. Howard stood at the edge of the crowd, glaring at me with righteous anger.

The comments flipped once more.

[I get it now. Edited photos and fake names.]

[Willow has gone insane. Exploiting her own dead father for this? Just to get a bigger divorce settlement.]

[Poor Mr. Howard. Being stuck with a woman like this. What kind of family raised her?]

The chat continued flooding the screen endlessly.
