He Locked Me In A Closet, So I Destroyed His Empire Chapter 04

My hand lay limp on the floor, the deep laceration across my palm now jagged and bleeding freely.

To prevent myself from losing consciousness entirely, I deliberately squeezed my wounded hand shut.

The blinding flash of pain made my entire frame shudder, but it worked with terrifying efficiency.

Weston’s voice finally filtered through the door, sounding distant and somewhat muffled.

“Alright, Chloe, you’ve had your fun and got your revenge. Let’s call it a day. I need to take her to get cleaned up.”

Chloe’s voice instantly turned into a petulant, aggrieved whine.

“Weston, you literally promised me I could handle this today! Look at her—she waits until the exact moment she gets caught in a lie to conveniently pass out. She’s doing it on purpose to look innocent!”

Weston offered no reply.

Her tone softened into a manipulative purr.

“I barely did anything anyway. I just locked her away for a few minutes to give her a little scare. Look at her, she doesn’t even have a single scratch on her.”

“Weston, I endured years of torment because of her. Are you really going to deny me a simple apology?”

Weston let out a heavy sigh, his knuckles rapping sharply against the metal paneling of the door.

“Summer, I already had the hotel prepare your gown for the evening. The moment you give her a proper apology, I’ll take you straight there.”

Propped up against the trash, I let out a low, hollow laugh.

Suddenly, a massive, deafening roar echoed from the sky.

The deep vibration drew closer by the second, sending powerful gusts of wind slamming through the ventilation window and kicking up a cyclone of dust inside the closet.

“What the hell is that noise?”

“Is that a helicopter?”

“Holy shit, whose chopper is that?”

The hallway outside instantly dissolved into utter chaos.

Then came a violent, metallic crash against the door.

Once. Twice.

On the third strike, the heavy iron door was kicked entirely off its hinges, slamming flat onto the floor.

A squad of elite security guards dressed in black tactical uniforms flooded the space, instantly neutralizing and surrounding every single person in the hallway.

Behind them was a fully equipped, professional medical team.

Beyond the crowd, two police cruisers came to a screeching halt.

The officers emerged and immediately restrained Chloe and Weston.

Chloe’s face drained of color in an instant.

“What… this is a private event! On what grounds are you touching me?”

An officer blew right past her, stepping into the closet and kneeling beside me.

“Miss Sterling, our precinct has already secured the entire live stream archive as evidence. Chloe Quinn is being detained under suspicion of unlawful confinement and aggravated assault. Please allow the medical team to stabilize you first; we will require your formal statement afterward.”

I took a deep breath from the oxygen mask the medics provided, feeling the constriction in my lungs slowly ease, and offered a firm nod.

Seeing the entire situation flip in an instant, Chloe completely lost her composure.

“I didn’t do anything! It was just a joke! Weston, tell them! Say something!”

Weston’s face was an ash-gray mask of fury as the officers firmly pinned his arms behind his back.

Chloe’s voice broke into panicked tears.

“Weston… make them get their hands off me! Do these people even know who we are?”

The female officer completely ignored her hysterics, guiding her firmly by the shoulder toward the waiting police cruiser.

By now, the viewer count on the live stream had skyrocketed past a hundred thousand.

I glanced coldly at the lens of the phone tripod, my voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.

“Every single account that donated to facilitate this assault will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Furthermore, since Weston Garrison was fully aware of and complicit in this entire sequence of events, notify the board of directors immediately: we are pulling all capital from the Garrison Group.”

Weston’s eyes narrowed into pinpricks of pure shock.

“What did you just say?”

As the paramedics lifted my stretcher and wheeled me past him, Weston made a desperate, thrashing motion to block our path.

“Summer—”

I didn’t even grant him a glance.

“Weston, I am going to make sure you and your family pay for every second of today.”
