My roommate Serena Winthrop loved to brag about her stepbrother, Oakwood’s golden boy, Harrison Sterling.

I tilted my head at my roommate. “Would your brother mind one more girl on his tail?”

Serena’s smile froze.

Her eyes flicked to the designer bag on my desk. “He’s never liked materialistic people.”

“But if you’re into him, go ahead.”

That night, I sent Harrison a friend request:

[Your sister said you like me. Is that true?]

Harrison was Oakwood’s biggest name.

He had the face, the old-money last name, and a dating history so clean it was basically a myth.

Only catch? His infamous, explosive temper.

But with his stepsister Serena, he had endless patience.

They’d always been close until she started dating some guy named Tyler.

Serena ranted to us nonstop, “What’s so great about him, anyway?”

“I’m an adult. He has no right to police my love life.”

Serena fake-huffed, but her eyes crinkled.
