He Designed A Dream Dress For Her, He Never Designed One For Me Chapter 04

“Sir, your name isn’t on the guest list. We can’t let you in.”

The security guards stopped Julian outside, but he abandoned all restraint, shouting and trying to force his

way past them.

Then he saw the welcome display near the entrance. It featured a formal wedding portrait of me in my gown,

wrapped in Nathan’s arms.

Fury consumed him. Without thinking, he kicked the display to the ground.

One of the guards grabbed him and tried to drag him away from the entrance, but Julian punched the man

and knocked him down.

He stormed into the wedding, startling every guest in the room.

The moment he saw me in my gown, Julian stared as though he couldn’t believe his own eyes.

My family, friends, and coworkers were all there. The venue was decorated exactly the way Julian and I had

once planned.

He stopped in the aisle, his eyes suddenly filling with tears.

“Elise, are you doing this on purpose? Are you staging a fake wedding just to get back at me?”

Julian pointed at Nathan, his voice breaking. “Who is he? Tell me who he is.”

“How can you marry a complete stranger? I told you I would marry you if you postponed the wedding for a few more days. You couldn’t even wait that long?”

He shouted the questions at me as tears slid down his face.

The entire venue fell silent. Everyone waited for me to answer.

“Nathan isn’t a stranger. He’s my husband. We already had a civil ceremony. We’re legally married.”

“A few more days? Julian, ask everyone here how many times they had to rearrange their plans because you postponed our wedding.”

“Let’s just say I’m done waiting. You already made me postpone it three times. I won’t do it again, and I don’t

want to.”

Julian clenched his jaw. “So you decided to betray me?”

I laughed in disbelief. Did he still think I knew nothing?

“Betray you? Weren’t you the one who betrayed me first?”

“What makes you think you can marry Mia but I can’t marry someone else?”

“Don’t pretend I don’t know about your wedding in Paris. I watched your entire livestream yesterday.”

Julian froze and stared at me in disbelief.

His throat worked as though he wanted to speak, but the words wouldn’t come.

Finally, he gave me a dismissive answer. “It was a misunderstanding.”

“Elise, it was all a misunderstanding. You have to believe me.”

My voice turned cold. “Call it whatever you want. I don’t care anymore.”

“I’m marrying someone else now. Whatever existed between you and me is over.”

Julian shook his head violently, refusing to believe I was truly marrying another man.

“No. That’s impossible. This has to be fake. You’re only doing this to make me angry.”

“We were together for six years. Everyone knows you’ve been hopelessly in love with me for years. How could you possibly marry anyone else?”

I lowered my eyes for a moment.

He was right about one thing. I had been hopelessly in love with Julian for years.

I had given him everything I had to help him achieve his dream and reach the top of his field.

As long as he succeeded, nothing that happened to me had seemed to matter.

I had watched him care for another woman, travel with Mia, design wedding gowns for her, and do all the things he and I had never done together. Through all of it, I had acted as though I felt nothing.

He knew exactly how much I had sacrificed, yet he still chose to hurt me for another woman.

Now that he had seen me getting married, he was pretending he couldn’t bear to lose me.

Julian’s face flushed with rage. He looked ready to tear the entire wedding apart.

I remained detached, as if I were merely a bystander, and looked at him like he was an idiot.

Every eye in the room was on him, but Julian didn’t care.

The fact that I was marrying someone else had driven every rational thought from his mind.

He had never imagined that I might one day become another man’s wife.

Once, we had promised each other forever and sworn we would spend our lives together.

But Julian had broken those promises first, and our relationship had reached its end.
