He Could See My Comments, I Used Them To Tease Him Chapter 03

I typed away, seething.

[Yvette looked so adorable just now, thinking he was actually asking her to team up. And then this jerk…]

[But Silas teased her instead. So cute.]

In the end I partnered with Zora. When Silas walked past me afterward, I didn’t even spare him a glance.

Then the seating chart landed on my desk. I stared at his name next to mine for a long while.

I kept my face flat while I looked at that chart, but inside I wanted to laugh.

Silas was seriously so extra. But I loved it.

During lab, we ended up close together for the first time.

He wasn’t nearly as cold up close.

There was even a faint scent of laundry detergent. This close, I noticed his skin was smooth enough that I couldn’t see a single pore.

His long fingers paused mid-motion. He turned to look at me.

“Your turn.”

I pulled my gaze away and looked at the jumble of bottles and vials in front of me, feeling completely lost.

I pulled up the comment panel.

[Will he notice she has no idea what she’s doing and swoop in to save the day?]

[Reminder, this book is literally called “The Badass Girl and…”]

The bottle got pulled out of my hand.

Silas’s voice came close, warm enough to make my ears burn.

“I’ve got it.”

I cleared my throat and spoke up.

“Hey, Silas. Why do you bring me breakfast every day?”

His hand froze mid-air. He turned to look at me for a moment, and I nearly lost my smile.

Why did I feel like he could see straight through me…

“Leftovers.”

He set the item down flatly. I opened the comment panel and started spouting nonsense.

[Keep denying it, Silas. When the tables turn, you’ll be crying at her feet begging for forgiveness!]

[Got lips for nothing if you won’t speak up.]

[Speaking of lips, his look pretty soft…]

Silas nearly dropped the beaker in his hand. He kept his face stony, but the tips of his ears went bright red.

Satisfied, I looked away and focused on the experiment.

[Yvette’s affection just took a nosedive, and guess why—because he won’t say a word. Worst excuse for a male lead ever.]

[Heard there’s a new dessert place opening near campus. If someone took her for a treat, that affection score might just bounce back…]

Silas glanced at me flatly and said nothing.

I glared at his pristine white sneakers, grinding my teeth.

I’d basically spelled it out for him. Did he even like me or not?

“Focus on class.”

A cold finger poked my head. I looked up, only to see the tips of his ears burning red.

“I’ll treat you to dessert after school.”

Same old pose, even when he’s asking me out.

But I was more than okay with it.

For the rest of class, I stopped sneaking glances at him and stopped spamming comments to mess with him.

I actually listened and kept my eyes on the bottles and beakers like a good student.

But I could still feel a resentful, burning stare coming from my left the whole time.
