He Chose My Sister. I Went Cold. Chapter 11

“You people disgust me.”

The moment those words left his mouth, everyone in the room froze.

All the color drained from Claire’s face.

She lifted her head to look at Silas, her voice trembling.

“No, Silas, it’s not what you think.”

“I was just so afraid of losing you. After we slept together, I was afraid you wouldn’t want me, so I acted on impulse…”

“Impulse?”

Silas stared at her, his face frighteningly cold.

“Posting the photos was an impulse? Bringing the man who nearly raped your sister to the hospital was an impulse, too?”

“Claire, your version of an accident is terrifying.”

With that, he shoved her away.

Claire fell to the floor.

My parents immediately rushed to stand in front of her.

“How could you lay a hand on her?”

Silas let out a cold laugh. The small measure of politeness he had once shown his elders was gone from his eyes.

“Parents like you will be the ruin of her. From now on, you are not welcome in our home. As for the Vitale family’s investment in the Cross Group, consider it terminated.”
