After finding out Reed was cheating, I had been to his company many times.

Every visit had been an ugly scene.

I had smashed glass, torn up documents, and kicked apart decorative panels.

In this company, there probably wasn’t a single person who didn’t know that their CEO’s wife was certifiably insane.

So today, when I walked into the lobby, heads turned immediately.

Some looks were curious.

Some were disdainful.

Some were just waiting for the show to start.

The elevator doors opened.

I stepped inside.

Several employees followed me in.

In that narrow space, I soon heard their hushed voices.

“She’s here again. What do you think she’ll smash this time?”

“The renovation guy must love her.”

“Keep it down. The show’s about to start.”

They snickered.

If this had been before, I probably would have exploded.

But today, I just let out a soft laugh.

As the elevator ascended, I turned to face them, my expression calm.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to disappoint you.”

“I’m not here to smash anything today.”

“I’m here to discuss a divorce with your boss.”

The elevator doors opened at that exact moment.

I walked out and headed straight for the office at the end of the hall.

When I pushed open the door, I found two people pressed very close together.
