“First, I have all the evidence I need. If you want to help her cover this up and dodge

“Second, what gives you the right to decide whether someone else is trustworthy? A professional, responsible guide who can tell right from wrong is far more reliable than

His gentle, clear words quietly soothed the insecurity and self-doubt I had carried for so long.

No one had ever been willing to understand my sensitivity. Ethan certainly hadn’t.

After all these years, he still couldn’t see that my dependence on him had turned into

something else a long time ago.

It had turned into feelings for him a long time ago.

“How about I stay with you for the rest of the trip?”
