Future Him Warned Him About My Unhinged Side Chapter 10

Future Him Warned Him About My Unhinged Side Chapter 10

I knit my brows, looking at the man standing before me.

There wasn’t a single trace left of the fierce, sharp, and commanding titan who had once ruled the corporate world. The Ethan Vance standing here today was nothing but a pathetic drunkard, his mind entirely consumed by alcohol.

Taking a firm step back, I widened the physical gulf between us. “Mr. Vance, is there something else related to our transition?”

“Please stay, Chloe. Just stay. Come back to me!” he choked out, his voice cracking with sheer desperation.

“I was wrong. I was genuinely wrong! I’ll give you the entire empire—I’ll hand over everything I own, just please don’t walk away!”

Whispers immediately broke out across the corporate lobby as employees turned to watch the spectacle with burning curiosity.

These were all fresh recruits brought in after the Vance Global restructuring; they had zero context regarding the volatile history of the former “Mrs. Vance.”

My brow furrowed deeper, a flicker of pure impatience crossing my features. “Ethan Vance, get out of my way. Our relationship is strictly transactional and corporate. I am willing to discuss transition logistics, but anything beyond that is entirely off the table.”

“No! I won’t step aside!” Ethan stubbornly anchored himself directly in my path. “Chloe, are you still holding a grudge against me? Hit me, curse at me, do whatever the hell you want—just please don’t leave me again!”

Right at that moment, Sienna rushed into the lobby. The exact second she witnessed Ethan groveling so pathetically while I stood there with a face of frozen indifference, an intense, volatile jealousy consumed her.

Sprinting forward, she locked her arm tightly through Ethan’s and glared at me with a face of pure, passive-aggressive provocation.

“Chloe Reynolds, don’t you think you’re taking this a little too far? Ethan is already suffering enough, what more do you possibly want from him? You were the one who chose to walk away back then, and now you swoop back in just to ruthlessly devour his life’s work?”

“What kind of sick, malicious game are you playing here?”

I didn’t even grant her a single glance, turning my head away with pure, unbothered irritation. “Let me repeat myself one final time. My firm holds a strictly professional relationship with the Vance infrastructure.”

“If you two have domestic affairs to iron out, handle it inside your own home. Do not drag my name into your chaos.”

But the second Ethan processed Sienna’s presence, his expression shifted wildly—as if he were looking at a savior one second, and an absolute arch-nemesis the next. He violently ripped his arm out of her grip, his eyes burning with a savage fury as he glared down at her.

“This is your fault! This is all because of you!” he screamed, his voice shattering across the lobby. “If it weren’t for your pathetic mind games, Chloe would have never left me! This company wouldn’t be reduced to ashes! Get out of my sight! Get the hell away from me!”

In his unhinged, manic state, he delivered a violent shove. Sienna stumbled backward, her heels skidding across the polished marble as she barely managed to keep from crashing flat onto the ground.

Staring at Ethan in absolute, horrified disbelief, tears immediately spilled down her cheeks. “Ethan Vance! How can you look me in the eye and treat me like this? After every single sacrifice I made for you…”

“Shut your mouth!” Ethan roared, his chest heaving. “I never want to look at your face again!”

He spun back toward me, preparing to launch into another round of pathetic groveling. But the gaze I leveled at him had turned entirely sub-zero, dripping with unadulterated disgust.

“Look at yourself, Ethan Vance. Take a good look at the absolute circus you’ve become. Wasn’t this the woman you claimed to love more than life itself? The second things go south, you turn on her like a wild animal?”

“The man standing in front of me right now only makes me despise you even more.”

With that final sentence, I smoothly stepped around his frozen silhouette and marched straight toward the exit doors.

But before I could even cross the threshold, a sharp, blood-curdling shriek erupted from the center of the lobby.

“Oh my God! Blood! There’s so much blood!”

Glancing back over my shoulder, my eyes caught the dark crimson fluid pooling rapidly beneath Sienna’s legs.

Meanwhile, Ethan simply stood there, completely paralyzed and
vacant, offering zero indication that he intended to lift a single finger
to assist her.

I gave a slow, detached shake of my head and continued walking out
into the sunshine. Halfway down the steps, I gave a brief, clinical
directive to my executive assistant: “Call 911.”

To stake your entire life on a man like that was an absolute, tragic
waste. It hadn’t been worth it when I was the one bleeding out, and it
certainly wasn’t worth it for Sienna today.

A few years flew by, and the name Ethan Vance was systematically
erased from the global financial sector.

Some corporate rumors claimed he liquidated his remaining shadow
equities and fled the country to live out his days in complete isolation
overseas.

Others insisted his severe alcoholism finally claimed him, suggesting
he had stumbled over the edge of a bridge one dark night while
completely intoxicated.

There was no body, no funeral, and no closure—he had simply
vanished from the face of the earth.

As for Sienna, following the physical devastation of her second
miscarriage, she cut ties with Ethan permanently.

Before she officially walked out the door of the Greenwood Estate,
however, she systematically cleaned out every single liquid asset and
offshore account Ethan had left unguarded. Armed with his remaining fortune, she quickly married an entirely different corporate heir.

Meanwhile, my trajectory moved in the absolute opposite direction of Ethan’s downfall. The name Chloe Reynolds echoed across the international business elite.

I had ascended into a true, untouchable industry titan, commanding an astronomical tier of wealth and corporate leverage.

I spent my free days jetting across the globe, surrendering myself to beautiful landscapes and immersing my mind in diverse, rich cultures.

My social circle was populated by brilliant, elite suitors—from elegant, sophisticated academics and powerful tech billionaires to extraordinarily gifted artists. Yet, I chose to remain entirely single.

Whenever a curious profile interviewer ventured to ask why a woman with my empire refused to settle down and find a husband, I would simply offer a calm, entirely confident smile.

“I am entirely capable of giving myself every single thing I could ever want or dream of,” I replied smoothly. “Romantic validation has never been a necessity for a full life. The space I occupy right now is magnificent.”

And it was true. I was doing exceptionally well.

I was no longer a shadow attached to a man’s identity, nor did I breathe for anyone else’s validation.

I had meticulously sculpted myself into the exact woman I wanted to be—independent, formidable, and absolutely radiant.
