Future Him Warned Him About My Unhinged Side Chapter 03

The evening sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow over a rocking chair on the balcony.

On the side table sat a fresh mug of hot coffee next to an open book. From a vintage record player in the corner, Ethan’s favorite jazz track was spinning smoothly.

This wasn’t a medical room. It was a home.

Worse, it was a home I had designed with my own two hands. Before our wedding, I had painstakingly sketched out every layout and blueprint, tailoring it perfectly to our shared tastes.

But Ethan had claimed he didn’t want me overexerting myself; he hired a design firm instead and had the Greenwood Estate decorated in a completely different style.

Now, the home of my dreams was sitting right in front of me. Except it belonged to him and another woman.

“You’re here,” Ethan’s voice cut in from behind.

I turned around, utterly paralyzed. Before the shock could even fade from my eyes, he spoke again.

“Sienna always mentioned how much she loved this specific layout, so I had it built for her. You don’t mind, do you?”

I stared at him, incredulous. “What do you think?”

He gave a slight nod. “Then smash it if you want, Chloe. Whatever makes you happy.”

His eyes flicked down to my bleeding wrist, but they held nothing but a faint glimmer of disgust. “I’m used to your tantrums, and so is Sienna.”

He then turned his gaze toward the window, his tone so calm it was as if he were simply saying, Look at the sunset, Chloe. It’s beautiful today.

Following his line of sight, I saw a vibrant rainbow stretching across the post-rain sky. But the storm raging inside my own heart felt like it would never clear.

“Ethan, babe, come play It Takes Two with me—”

Sienna’s voice cut off abruptly the second her eyes landed on me. The controller slipped from her fingers, clattering onto the floor. She suddenly clutched her head with both hands and began screaming hysterically.

“No! Please don’t hurt me! Please don’t hurt us!”

“I was wrong!! I’m the other woman!”

“I was wrong, I beg you… I’ll never do it again…”

Ethan lunged across the room, wrapping his arms tightly around her. His eyes pooled with an intense, protective agony. “It’s okay, it’s okay, don’t be scared. I’m right here. No one will ever hurt you again.”

As he whispered those comforting words, his eyes were locked entirely on me. The hatred in his gaze poured out completely unshielded.

A sudden laugh escaped my throat. I laughed so hard that tears streamed down my face.

For a split second, a terrifying urge surged through me—I wanted to sprint over, grab Sienna, and For one terrifying second, I wanted to destroy everything in front of me.

But the faint remains of my sanity pulled me back. She wasn’t worth it.

Digging my nails deep into my palms, I fought down the desperate impulse to do something I’d regret forever.

I let out a cold sneer. “Cut the act, Sienna.”
