Four Childhood Heroes For Her? Fine, I Cut Off The Four Who Betrayed Me Chapter 07

Who would do something like that?”

“Exactly, Ethan, stop joking around.”

“Let’s find Emma quickly, or the four of us can sign a guarantee for Ava so she can get into

school first.”

The three friends denied it simultaneously, but Ethan dialed the police back in New York.

Seeing this, Ava immediately clutched her stomach, crying out in pain.

The other three rushed to surround her with concern, but Ethan didn’t grant her a single

glance.

Realizing that tactic failed, Ava feigned an asthma attack, clutching her throat and gasping dramatically for air.

Yet Ethan’s fingers never stopped tapping the screen.

Desperate, she dropped the act and grabbed his hand to plead with him.

“Ethan, please don’t call! I admit I blocked the number that called your phone, but I thought it

was just another actor Emma hired!”

“She’s done this so many times before. Didn’t she do the exact same thing when we were

abroad?”

“The second she hit the smallest bump in the road, she would call you frantically.”

“I only did it to help her build independence. I had no idea she was actually missing…”

Squeezing out two tears, Ava looked toward the other three for support.

Predictably, their hearts softened, and they spoke up on her behalf.

“Ava didn’t mean any harm.”

“It’s not the first time Emma has wandered off. We just need to find her.”

“Her emotional state is so unstable and her social abilities are absurdly low. How was anyone

supposed to tell whether she was throwing a fit or actually in trouble?”

Then Ethan displayed the police record on his phone screen.

The official response read clearly:

[Emergency contact refused to provide information and voluntarily waived search efforts, stating they had no direct relationship with the missing person.]

The room fell dead silent.

The three friends looked at Ava in complete disbelief.

“You said those things to the police?”

“We might not be Emma’s legal guardians, but we’ve cared for her all these years. She depends on us.”

“She was having a severe episode right in front of you, yet you refused to give details to the police and stopped them from reaching us. You were practically driving her to her death! Ava Monroe, how could you be so cruel?”

Ava tried to defend herself, but the look in Ethan’s eyes was filled with pure disgust.

“I’m only realizing today what a malicious person you truly are.”

“You played the victim to steal Emma’s capstone project and took the fellowship that belonged to her. That wasn’t enough for you, you wanted her to disappear forever.”

“To think you knew all along that she was missing and posed zero threat to you, yet you still

blamed her for our border detention. It makes me sick.”

“Back in France three months ago, when you committed that hit-and-run, did you

deliberately push Emma-who couldn’t speak the language-to deal with the police on purpose?”

“You wanted her detained so your plan could go smoothly!”

“No! That’s not true! Ethan, you’re misunderstanding me! I really just wanted Emma to learn

how to survive on her own!”

Ava pleaded desperately, turning to the other three for support.

Unfortunately for her, none of them were stupid. Her true nature had been fully exposed the moment she hid the missing person notification and tried to frame me.

The three stepped back in unison, explicitly stating they would no longer help a manipulative serpent like her.

They added that they would publicly clarify her theft of my capstone project and her fraudulent application to the Iceland University of the Arts.

Ava cried until her makeup smeared, but the cold handcuffs clicked securely around her wrists.

Yet after the officers led her to the vehicle, they didn’t drive away. Instead, they walked over to

the four men and requested that they come along as well.

The four were confused. “You arrested Ava Monroe. What does that have to do with us?”

The officer replied with absolute gravity.

“Who said we were only arresting Miss Monroe?”

“All five of you are implicated in the hit-and-run in France, fraud, and identity theft

investigation. Not one of you is exempt.”
