For Five Years, He Took Revenge on the Wrong Woman Chapter 07

“As for everything else, no comment.”

The car door opened and shut, cutting off the noise outside.

Only after the car pulled away and Caterina drifted off to sleep did Silas take out his phone.

It had been days, and Calista hadn’t sent him a single message.

Could she really be so hardhearted that she wouldn’t even beg or admit defeat?

He opened her contact and sent a random emoji.

The message never showed as delivered.

His calls wouldn’t go through either, and her number was no longer in service.

Silas didn’t understand why it bothered him so much. Maybe he had simply expected Calista to

come back and admit she was wrong.

He would still marry Caterina, of course. But the thought of keeping Calista at the Serrano estate as his secret mistress was unexpectedly appealing.

Then he remembered the rumor the reporters had mentioned.

Almost against his better judgment, he opened a search

page.

A moment later, his eyes narrowed, and his knuckles cracked as his hand curled into a fist.

A sensational headline filled the screen in enormous type.

His Wedding]

A photograph appeared beneath it.

The front door slammed open, startling the housekeeper.

“Mr. Serrano…”

Silas swept his gaze through the house. Just as he had suspected, there wasn’t a single trace of

Calista left.

Even he didn’t realize how terrifyingly dark his expression had become.

“When she left, she didn’t say anything? She didn’t leave anything at all?”

The housekeeper answered nervously, “Mrs. Serrano…”

She glanced at Caterina and immediately corrected herself.

“Ms. Orsini never came back after that day.”

Caterina, on the other hand, seemed delighted. She looked around before looping her arm through Silas’s.

“Silas, did you have the house redecorated for me? You put so much thought into this. There’s almost nothing left from when the two of you lived here.”

“I thought there might at least be some pictures of you together. I would’ve been so jealous.”

She rested her head against his chest.

Silas froze, his lips parting. He wanted to tell her that nothing in the house had been changed.

Then he suddenly realized that there had never really been any trace of Calista in the house.

He had smashed their wedding portrait two years ago.

After that, they had never taken another picture together.

The only image of them side by side was a composite the family’s PR team had created for a charity

gala.

The guests had still offered their insincere compliments about what a perfect couple they made.

Calista hadn’t been able to smile that night, while Silas had been preoccupied with deciding what gift to buy Caterina that year.

A sudden pain stabbed through his chest. He forced a smile.

“Yes. It was a surprise for you. You’ll live here from now on. There’s no need to go back to the

apartment.”

He turned and quietly ordered one of his aides, “Find Calista. Now. I want to know where she is.”

The aide returned not long afterward, his expression grim.

“Mr. Serrano, we located her, but…”

Silas clicked his tongue impatiently.

“But what? Say it.”

“Ms. Orsini bought a stake in a private investigation firm. She put the intimate photographs of you and Ms. De Luca up for sale at an underground auction.”

“The auction is already underway.”

“They’re already auctioning the 365th private photo, and bidding has climbed to several times the opening price…”
