Finding My True Alpha Chapter 10

Finding My True Alpha Chapter 10

Rebecca’s POV

“Rebecca, I understand now, you’re just getting back at me! But I promised I’d make you my Luna. Why can’t

you just wait for me a little longer…”

“You know Elara’s mother is lying, so why didn’t you tell me the truth? If I had known the truth, would

everything have turned out like this?”

“And I sent Dean and the others to follow you. If you hadn’t been speeding and shaken them off, how could

you have been kidnapped?”

Even now, he still thought everything was Elara and her mother’s fault.

But the true culprit was him!

I scoffed.

“I did tell you. You just didn’t believe me. As for why your beta lied, maybe you should ask him yourself.”

Jonah seemed confused for a moment, then his face twisted in pain.

He finally remembered-I’d told him I’d been kidnapped by Elara’s mother, and I’d also mentioned she was just

pretending.

He immediately called Dean, and after being questioned, Dean hesitated before admitting that it was Elara’s

orders to stop following me.

They hadn’t expected it to end like this….

Jonah immediately expelled Dean and the two warriors from the pack.

He tugged at his hair in anguish, trying to explain himself, trying to make things right, but after a long silence,

no words came.

Finally, he muttered:

“Why? How did we end up like this…? We were so in love, and you were going to marry me, no matter what…”

He watched me and Evan walk away, then couldn’t hold back anymore, collapsing to the ground, clutching

his head and sobbing.

A man who still couldn’t see his own mistakes wasn’t worth my pity.

The only pain left was for the six years I’d wasted on him.

I thought Jonah would finally give up. But the next day, he showed up at my parents’ house, begging for their

forgiveness.

He knew I listened to them.

If Travis hadn’t intervened in time, my mom would’ve known her daughter had been almost disabled by him.

When Evan and I came to have lunch with my parents, we happened to run into Travis dragging Jonah

toward the trash can. He shoved him onto the ground with force:

“You never got over Elara, yet you strung my sister along!” Travis snarled. “You don’t appreciate what you have until it’s gone. Who’s buying this pathetic act now?”

Jonah dropped to his knees-just like when he’d once vowed to cherish me forever.

But this time, no one believed him.

He crawled toward me on his knees, tears streaming down his face, begging for another chance.

Before I could speak, a disheveled woman rushed through the security guards, holding a knife and stabbing

Jonah in the back:

“Jonah! You’re heartless! My mom sacrificed her life for us, and you still want to sever the mate bond with me! I’ll tell you this: In my world, there’s no rejection-only death!”

Blood splattered all over her face, but she didn’t seem to notice.

Evan, worried I’d be frightened, quickly picked me up and ran toward the house.

Travis, worried my parents might see the bloody scene, also hurried inside.

Just before the door closed, Jonah was furiously fighting back against Elara.

Later, I heard from pack members that both of them had been rushed to the hospital for emergency

treatment.

They both survived, but Elara lost the use of her hand-it couldn’t even hold a bowl anymore.

Jonah’s lung was pierced, and he spent a full month in the hospital before being discharged.

At that point, I learned that Elara’s mother, unable to accept the fact that she was going to prison, had

chosen to take her own life in a moment of fear.

Before she died, she left a letter, asking Jonah to take good care of Elara.

But in the end, her last wish could never be fulfilled.

Jonah decided to sue Elara for intentional injury, ultimately severing the mate bond with her.

Travis, concerned I might be upset hearing these things, encouraged me to let go of the past and focus on

building a life with Evan.

I threw a pillow at Travis, laughing:

“Yes, Alpha. Now go find yourself a Luna!”

Evan, returning from pack business, joined our playfight-turning it into a two-against-one battle.

Zoe’s Pov

I groaned as I woke up, the sun streaming through the crack in my curtains pulling me from my slumber. Sitting up I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, tucking my dark matted hair behind my ear as I scanned my

small apartment. I didn’t have a lot of money and I lived alone, but since I travelled a lot I didn’t need a big

place, especially when it would be only me living there.

Looking around I took note of my bedroom, my black sheets thin due to my hotter than normal body heat as

they covered the double bed which was pressed against the wall. I didn’t have any photos about, my shelves

filled with either books or papers which were littered around the rooms in my place. Getting up I stretched, a

yelp falling from my slightly uneven lips as felt my shoulder pop deliciously.

I know you’re wondering who I am, let me explain. My name is Zoe Greenwoods and I am 17 years old and I

have lived alone since I got kicked out at the age of 12. I know what you’re thinking, what kind of parents

would kick out and make their child homeless at the small age of 12. Mine did but I will explain why later.

As for what I look like I am actually taller than most females my age, my tall form making it able for me to

tower over most who got on my wrong side which I admit isn’t hard to do. I have long brunette locks, the colours in my thick curls ranging from pitch black to both light and dark browns with streaks of a bloody red

which were entwined in the other coloured strands of my hair. My long hair fell to my mid back, it tumbling

down in natural curls when I ran a brush though it. My body was toned perfectly, with the amount of running I

did it meant that I was in good shape and excellent fitness. My chest size was also about a C-cup which I

was proud of, and while I wasn’t interested in having any relationships I was happy and confident in my body

enough to do so when I was ready.

Back to why I got kicked out when I was younger, I know you are more than dying to find out. It’s a shame it’s

not a happier story, but what to you expect when it’s about a unwanted child in the family. You see I’m a

werewolf, well I prefer shifter but whatever floats your boat. You see I am actually the daughter of an alpha, a

very well-known one of our kind unfortunately.

I also have an older sister and a younger brother, ones I haven’t seen in years. You see an alpha should be a

male, one that will be able to take charge and lead the pack with their mate at their side. Sexist I know, but it

has always been tradition. So you see when my father got my mother pregnant with my sister Stacy they

couldn’t help but be disappointed, but due to her being their first they adored and spoiled her rotten. In my

view though and I’m sure many others she was a complete bitch, believing herself to be better than everyone

else as she held her nose up over just about everyone.

Then my mother got pregnant with me, the family disappointment they used to call me when I still lived with

them at the pack house. They hated me from the minute I was born, the fact I was just another female to

them meaning they never actually saw me as their daughter, more of a mistake. Because of this I was.
