The onboarding went smoothly.

The branch didn’t have many signed hosts. Mostly small American streamers. Nobody with real fame. They’d come to Europe to gamble.

I chose to step behind the scenes.

“Fine. It’s all yours,” Tommy laughed through the phone. “Whether you can make that branch thrive is on you. If you actually build something real, you name your percentage.”

From nothing to a rising name.

“Tommy, let’s talk percentages,” I said, leaning against the

window.

“On top of your VP salary and standard bonus, I’ll give you half of my own cut. How’s that?”

Tommy was beaming.

“Fine, sixty–forty? Or seventy–thirty! You’re my damn lucky

star.”

“Hailey, swing by New York sometime. Share some wisdom with the veterans here.”

My secretary poked me lightly from behind. Handed over a

contract.

I scanned the key sections and signed.

“Sure,” I said offhand.

“Buy my ticket and I’ll come.”

Tommy was giddy. “Done! Consider it bought!”

“You said it. I’m looking at flights right now.”

He hung up in a rush.

The corner of my mouth twitched.

Going back to New York. Hadn’t really considered it. I was doing well here. My parents visited for a few months each year. So I didn’t feel much pull toward the city.

Besides, even from Europe, I’d heard the rumors. Ryan had been hunting for me like a madman.

Going back meant risking entanglement. Just an unnecessary

headache.

“Hailey, the partner is requesting that you do the product selection in person”

My secretary carefully filed the signed contract.

“Once confirmed, we’ll proceed with supply chain. You can also bring some samples back. Let the team do test streams.”

“Where’s the viewing?”

“New York.”

I paused.

“Give me the contract.”
