Everyone Knew But Me The Day My Boyfriend Married His Other Girlfriend Chapter 07

After apologizing to the hospital director, Julian ended the call.

He pulled Vanessa Moore closer and looked at me with nothing but disgust in his eyes.

“Sienna Rhodes. I don’t even recognize you anymore.”

“How could you become this cruel? Faking your own mother’s death to frame Vanessa?”

“Have you completely lost your mind? If you’re willing to play games like this, aren’t you afraid karma might actually take your mother away?”

Vanessa Moore shot me a victorious glance over his shoulder.

Claire Sullivan crossed her arms, smirking.

I didn’t care about winning this fight. I didn’t care if Julian Carter believed me.

I just wanted to know where my mother’s body was.

Dr. Bennett was a good man. An honest doctor.

No way Vanessa Moore or Claire Sullivan bribed him.

If he said my mom was dead, she was dead.

But the hospital didn’t have her body.

I turned my glare on Claire Sullivan and Vanessa Moore.

If I’d had the strength, I would’ve killed them both right there.

They couldn’t even spare the dead.

They stole her body.

Give her back to me.

I grabbed the wooden tissue box off the nightstand and hurled it at Vanessa Moore.

“You disgusting monsters! My mother is dead! You’re still using her to frame me?”

“Give my mom back!”

Julian threw his arm up and blocked the box before it hit her.

The heavy wooden box slammed into the back of his hand.

A swollen bruise immediately rose beneath his skin.

He stood in front of her, the last trace of warmth in his eyes gone.

“Enough! Sienna Rhodes, you’re still blaming Vanessa? You think I’d believe you?”

“For old times’ sake, I won’t call the cops on you for what you did today. But if you ever try to hurt Vanessa again, I’ll make sure you go to jail.”

“I’ll still send you money for your mom’s medical bills every month. But don’t contact me anymore. I don’t want my wife to be upset.”

Vanessa Moore pouted. “Honey, you work so hard for that money. I don’t want you wasting it on a stranger.”

Claire Sullivan immediately joined in. “Julian, Vanessa’s just looking out for you. Sienna’s mom isn’t even that sick. She has probably been exaggerating everything just to squeeze money out of you.”

Julian Carter glanced at me one last time, then looked down.

“No matter what happened, she spent twelve years by my side.”

“She was there when I had nothing.”

“Sienna Rhodes. I’ll continue covering Aunt Paula’s medical expenses. Consider it compensation.”

“After this, we’re even.”

The door closed behind them.

I lay alone in the hospital bed.

One moment crying.

The next laughing hysterically.

Julian Carter, you bastard.

What was I supposed to do with your money?

My mom was gone. I don’t need your stupid money!
