Divorced & Dying The Mafia Boss Regrets Everything Chapter 07

Grace never expected to survive.

When she came out of the emergency room, the attending physician warned her severely, “One more stunt like that, and you can turn left at the door and jump straight into the crematorium.”

Grace didn’t dare say a word.

Liam, who had carried her out of the fire, got some smoke in his lungs and was kept in the hospital for observation.

Grace pushed aside her guilt. On the nearby TV entertainment channel, footage was playing of Dominic shopping in a baby store with a masked woman–the day after her accident. She recognized the mask at

once: it was Sienna.

At that time, Grace had been in the emergency room, and no one had even come to sign her critical condition

notice.

Grace closed her eyes and tried to stop thinking. Just as she was about to enjoy the quiet, the ward door

opened.

Finnegan came in, turned off the TV, and pulled open the curtains. After bustling around for a moment, he sat down and started peeling an apple with a blank face.

Grace could see he was upset and couldn’t help laughing, “It’s not your fault. Why do you feel guilty?”

Then she closed her eyes. “If I die, I die. I wasn’t going to live long anyway.”

Finnegan’s eyes nearly popped out. “What nonsense! You’re not going to die before this old man!”

After a long silence, Grace broke it first. She looked at Finnegan with deadly seriousness. “I’ve never asked you to do anything for me. But I need this one thing.”

“Dom, how’s this…”

“Dom…”

“Dom!”

Dominic finally snapped back to attention. Sienna shook his arm in frustration. “What’s been wrong with you lately…”

“You’re sure Grace is all right?”

Sienna’s smile froze. She looked away awkwardly. “Oh, of course. Would I lie to you?”

“She was clearly hugging Liam at the time…”

Dominic’s eyes darkened.

Seeing that he wasn’t suspicious, she slipped her arm back through his, glanced at the security camera by the door, and casually steered him toward it.

Just as they were leaving, a figure suddenly darted out and punched Dominic hard in the face, sending him stumbling back a few steps. Sienna screamed and shrank away.

Liam’s face was full of menace. He stared at the man, who wiped his mouth and straightened up. The tension between them was thick.

“Dominic, are you even human?!”

Dominic almost laughed. His chest heaved with rage. He said through his teeth, “Who are you to lecture me?”

Sienna rushed over and pulled him away, afraid he might hear something from Liam. “Come on, Dom, let’s

go…”

Dominic took two deep breaths, shot Liam a fierce glare, and strode off with Sienna on his arm.

Liam stared at his retreating back, lost in thought.

The media nearby captured the whole scene.

Next day’s headline: Dominic O’Ryan and Liam Bronson Come to Blows Over Sienna Reed.

Meanwhile, Grace held the divorce certificate in her hand, laughing. “You’re a genius, Finnegan.”

By using public opinion to tie Dominic’s hands, she had faded from sight completely. Within a day, she had the divorce papers in hand.

Finnegan looked at her gaunt face and couldn’t bring himself to smile. He frowned. “Are you really okay?” Grace paused, then shrugged. “What could be wrong? Everything is fine as long as I’m away from him.”

Seeing her like that, as if she had returned to the days when she could twist the major gangs around her finger, Finnegan steadied himself and grew serious.

“My daughter–in–law is about to give birth. I’ve done you a huge favor. You can’t possibly turn down an invitation to my own grandson’s full moon banquet, can you?”

Grace smiled again, looked him in the eye, and nodded solemnly.

“When the day comes, I’ll be there with a big gift.”
