Bully Her? She’s the Mafia Princess Chapter 07

Bully Her? She’s the Mafia Princess Chapter 07

The guests exchanged glances and quietly slipped away, one by one. They all knew the Costa family was finished

Mrs. Costa’s tears were real now. Vincent? Are you okay? Does your face hurt?”

That Evelyn is absolutely barbaric! When Mr. Thorne returns

I’m going to give him a piece of my mind!”

Vincent frowned. Enough, Mom! Aren’t things bad enough already?”

I told you we should get married first and deal with Isabella

later. But you insisted I get the marriage certificate with her

first!”

If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have fought with Evelyn, and

we wouldn’t have made ourselves look so bad!”

Mrs. Costa couldn’t very well blame her own son, so she

directed all her resentment toward Isabella

She looked down at Isabella, still pretending to be

unconscious on the ground. Whatever affection she’d once felt

was gone

It was all that scheming girl’s fault, she thought. She was too ambitious, pushing Vincent to give her a title, causing this rift between mother and son and putting the Costa family in crisis

She turned to a servant and said coldly, What are you

standing there for? Take Miss Isabella to her room. She’s not to leave without my permission. And keep her out of sight unless necessary.”

The servants, quick to sense the shift in power, grabbed Isabella roughly and dragged her into the estate. They no

longer treated her like the future wife of the Costa family’s second son

Only then did Mrs. Costa feel a little better, as if she hadn’t been the one who decided to assert dominance and force me to give up my position

When I got back to the Thorne estate, the butler handed me an encrypted email from my father in Italy

In the email, my father first reassured me that he and my mother supported my decision completely, and he would never let anyone hurt me

Then he said he’d already started canceling all business partnerships between Thorne and Costa, the Costas would pay for what they’d done

Finally, he said one of his most capable men, Noah Hunter, had been trained by him personally

He was sharp, ruthless, and as soon as he heard my engagement was off, he’d flown back from the Thorne family’s overseas branch

He wanted to take Vincent’s place as the groom at my wedding, ask nothing of me, just being by my side would be enough

My father, seeing how sincere he was, sent him ahead to deliver the message

If I liked him, I could give him a title. If not, he could go back

to London. My parents would find me ten or twenty other eligible bachelors when they returned

I couldn’t help but laugh. Was I the villain now? Someone was actually volunteering to be with me, and didn’t even care if I had other people on the side

I was about to send someone to turn Noah Hunter down. I’d just ended an engagement and wasn’t ready to date or get married again

But then the butler led a tall, broadshouldered man inside

I took one look at him and froze. Wasn’t that the chubby little kid who used to follow me around everywhere

His name was Noah, and he was the grandson of my grandfather’s old friend

As a child, he’d been sickly and weak. The other kids always picked on him, stole his candy, ripped his clothes

He couldn’t fight back or even talk back. He’d just curl up on the ground and cry

I was a willful little girl back then, and I couldn’t stand seeing someone weak get bullied. So I’d grabbed my little backpack, beaten those kids black and blue, and forced Noah to be my

sidekick

He had to do my homework and buy me my favorite chocolates

and cookies

Then his grandfather got transferred to England, and he

moved to London. I never saw him again.
