Ethan raised his hand.

But the slap never came down.

Slowly, he sank to the floor, picked up the bottle, and took a long drink.

Even Blair knew the truth.

He was the one who had hurt Eileen most.

And he was the one who deserved that slap.

Drunk as he was, everything suddenly became painfully clear.

Ethan took out his phone and called his lawyer.

When the call ended, he looked at Blair.

“The divorce papers will be delivered to you soon. We signed a prenup. You won’t get a single share in Grant Corporation, any of my property, or a cent from the trust.”

Blair’s face turned pale.

Ethan continued.

“As for the baby, that’s your decision. If you keep it, I’ll pay whatever child support the court orders. Not a cent more. The choice is yours.”

Blair stared at him in disbelief.

“How can you do this to me? That’s your child too! I’m almost five months pregnant!”

“No wonder Eileen hates you! A man like you doesn’t deserve anyone’s love! You ruined everything for me! I won’t let you be happy either!”

Blair turned and yanked open the display cabinet.

She grabbed one of Ethan’s hunting knives and charged at him.

Normally, she would never have been able to hurt him.

But Ethan was already badly injured, and he had drunk far too much.

He could barely even stand.

The blade plunged straight into his chest. This time, it struck his heart.

Ethan struggled for a few moments before his breathing stopped.

As he died, Ethan smiled.

He remembered the promise he had made when he was eighteen.

Anyone who hurt Eileen should pay the price.

Now, he had paid too.

Blair’s face was covered in blood.

Trembling, she reached out to check Ethan’s breathing.

There was none.

She had really killed him.

After she finally calmed down, Blair decided to turn herself in.

She thought that because she was pregnant, people would at least feel more sympathy for her, and her lawyer might be able to argue for a lighter sentence.

But while she was in custody, she lost the baby in an accident.

The last thing she could have used to her advantage was gone.

The prosecution charged her with murder.

In the end, the court sentenced her to life in prison.
