After My Future Husband’s Video, I Took $100 Million and Vanished Chapter 06

Julian’s strength gave out.

His phone slipped from his numb fingers and hit the hardwood floor with a sharp crack.

The screen remained lit, casting a ghostly glow across the room as a video replayed on an endless loop.

A filthy alley flashed across the display.

Vivian stood over Chloe with a cruel smile, the pointed heel of her stiletto grinding mercilessly into Chloe’s fingers.

The sweet, delicate face Julian had once adored twisted into something hideous.

“Beat her!” she shrieked. “Beat her until she’s dead! Especially her stomach! Kick it until there’s nothing left!”

The footage abruptly cut to black.

Then a single image filled the screen.

A medical report stained with bright red blood.

[She was carrying your baby. Five weeks along. This afternoon, she went through the abortion

alone on a freezing operating table.]

It was the final text message sent by the Julian from five years in the future.

Silence swallowed the room.

Very slowly, Julian turned his head.

So slowly that his neck felt as though it were cracking apart one vertebra at a time.

Dark storm clouds pressed against the windows, draining every trace of light from the room until it resembled a mausoleum.

Only moments ago, Vivian had been curled against his chest like a helpless little bird.

Now she had backed herself into the corner, trembling violently beneath his gaze.

He looked like a man who wanted to tear someone apart with his bare hands.

“J-Julian…”

She swallowed hard, her voice shaking uncontrollably.

“It’s fake… Someone edited that video to frame me! I love you! I wouldn’t even hurt an ant. How could I possibly…”

Julian didn’t answer.

Instead, another memory crashed into him.

Just days earlier, Vivian had been lying comfortably in his arms, idly tracing circles across his fingers.

She had smiled as casually as if discussing the weather.

“Julian… if Chloe got pregnant… would you stop paying attention to me?”

What had he done then?

He had chuckled.

He had affectionately tapped her nose.

He had told her she was overthinking things.

A violent spasm ripped through his chest.

Only now did he finally understand.

Beneath Vivian’s innocent smile had lurked a bloodthirsty monster.

That playful little question had never been innocent.

It had been a knife coated in poison.

Julian rose stiffly to his feet.

One step.

Then another.

The sound of his leather shoes striking the floor echoed like funeral bells.

Vivian finally snapped.

She screamed and scrambled desperately toward the door.

She never made it.

Julian lunged forward.

His hand tangled brutally in her long hair, the feature she had always prized most, and he slammed

her head-first onto the hardwood.

The sickening impact echoed through the room, followed by her piercing scream.

He grabbed her throat and forced her to look at him.

His bloodshot eyes looked as though they might bleed.

Every word came out like something dragged straight from hell.

“If anything happens to Chloe…”

His grip tightened.

“I’ll skin you alive.”

His voice dropped into something terrifyingly calm.

“You can keep my child company in the grave.”
