After Forcing Me to Speak, They Regretted Everything Chapter 06

After Forcing Me to Speak, They Regretted Everything Chapter 06

“Get out.”

I stared at the three-meter-tall bone-spurred Abyssal Leader before me and forced the broken,

hoarse syllables from my throat.

The dark-golden slit pupils in the high-level Abyssal’s eyes contracted sharply. Its massive body

shuddered violently, and it scrambled aside on all fours.

I stepped past it and, dragging my ruined right leg, mped step by step into the dense fog of the

city ruins.

The three years of accumulated power had been reset to zero, and the backlash was consuming

me like wildfire. My body was deteriorating rapidly. The ribs Paul had kicked broken were now

displaced, stabbing into my flesh, unable to heal at all.

With every breath, my lungs felt like they were filled with jagged, bloodied glass shards.

My body was being tortured in a living hell, yet my consciousness had never been sharper.

Leaning against a rusted water pipe, I reached up and touched the back of my neck. The Seal of

Silence Blake had branded into me had completely vanished, leaving only a faint burn scar behind.

For three years, it had been a tightening shackle, constantly monitoring me, constricting me,

forcing me to stay silent for those selfish survivors, forcing me to accumulate that so-called

“world-saving” power.

How laughable.

I treated them as my people, and they treated me as disposable waste to be squeezed dry and

thrown away.

Now, the power was gone, and the shackles had shattered completely. I never had to save my

strength for anyone again. I never had to fear that a single word would ruin everything.

Since I had nothing left, since this worthless life was already overdrawn to its very limit-

Then I could use my ability without restraint.

I tore a strip of filthy cloth and bound my fractured ribs tight, grabbed a steel pipe to use as a crutch, and crawled out of the dark underground pipeline back to the surface.

Following the path etched in my memory, I headed north through the city.

Every zombie horde that caught my scent along the way cowered in terror and parted before me.

They lowered their bodies in unison on both sides of the street, as if welcoming a tyrant returning from hell.

On the fourth day, at dusk, I finally stopped.

Before me stood a signal tower entangled in mutated vines. It was a frontline military broadcast station set up in the early days of the collapse, with the highest-level clearance to broadcast across all frequencies-covering the entire city, even reaching directly into the internal comms of that so-called safe base.

I pushed open the rusted iron gate and dragged my ruined leg up the stairs, one step at a time.

Every step left a sticky smear of blood on the ground.

By the time I reached the broadcast room on the top floor, I was drenched in blood from head to

toe.

The control panel was buried under thick layers of dust, but I knew the backup nuclear battery

underground still had enough juice for one last transmission.

I tossed aside the steel pipe and collapsed heavily into the control chair. With fingers caked in

blackened blood, I pressed the red activation switch on the main console.

“Crackle-hisssss-”

The piercing sound of static ripped through the dead silence of the dusk. Green indicator lights flickered to life one by one across the control panel until the red light above the microphone began

to blink.

I leaned in close to the mic. My cracked, dry lips curved into the faintest arc.

All frequencies connected.

“Starting today.”

“Everyone who hurt me will be hunted by zombies.”

“Until death.”
