After 28 Lockouts, I Finally Locked Him Out Chapter 22

Julian did not come to the winery again.

He changed his methods.

Every day, long emails from him landed in my inbox.

Some recalled the first time we met. Some described how happy he’d been the day Maya was born. Others just repeated how much he regretted everything.

He was trying to move me with memories.

But reading them, I only felt tired.

A few days later, Julian’s parents called.

Not me, but my mother.

That day, I was on the terrace painting with Maya when my mother came over with her phone, her expression troubled.

“It’s Mrs. Westwood,” she said quietly. “She says Julian is in a bad way and hopes that, for Maya’s sake, we can persuade you.”

Before I could speak, my father came out of his study.

He took the phone, his tone steady and clear.

“Mrs. Westwood, I believe our lawyers have already made things quite clear. Clara needs peace right now. If you truly care about Maya, please stop harassing her mother in any form.”

The next day, a formal letter from my father’s legal team was delivered to the Westwoods’ counsel.

After that, the world went quiet.

When the old contacts stopped, a new email arrived.

This time, the sender was Leo.

The letter was short and panicked.

He said Julian had frozen all of his trust expenses except tuition.
