After 28 Lockouts, I Finally Locked Him Out Chapter 05

Julian’s face went white.

For the first time, the composure he prized above all else vanished.

“Are you insane?”

His voice was hoarse, and his first reaction wasn’t anger. It was panic.

He lunged toward me, reaching for my phone.

“Recall the email. Clara, recall it now.”

I stepped back, out of his reach.

“Julian, stop it.” He stared at me. “This isn’t funny.”

He didn’t believe it.

In his eyes, this was just the biggest tantrum I’d thrown in five years of marriage. Just like the twenty-seven times before. If he offered a small concession, restored my access, or threw some token compensation my way, I would eventually pick up the pieces and go back to being the presentable Mrs. Westwood.

“The email is already copied to both of our lawyers,” I said calmly. “It’s a legal notice, not a family memo you can just delete.”

The small, triumphant smile Eleanor hadn’t had time to hide froze on her lips.

She probably hadn’t expected this. I wasn’t fighting for a bigger piece of the pie.

I was leaving the table entirely.
