A Business Tycoon For Forty Years, I Misjudged My Wronged Granddaughter Chapter 08

Sienna sat beneath the light, her fingertips trembling slightly.

[She chose me?]

[This time, it’s really me?]

Julian dropped the act entirely. He hurled his glass to the floor.

“Sloane, you’re cutting me off like this? Were you just waiting for an excuse to throw me out?”

“I’ve held this family together for twenty years! And now you’re tearing me and Cole apart over some

ungrateful brat?”

Sloane looked at him coldly. “Don’t stand there playing the victim. You begged your way into this family.”

Oh, did the cushy life finally bruise your ego?

“You wanted the money. Then kneel for it. Since when does an outsider get to dictate what happens to Kensington assets?”

Cole’s mask came off too. His face darkened.

“I was raised to the Kensington heir standard.”

“You made me study shipping. Finance. Port operations. And now you’re taking it all away?”

I looked at him. “I trained you because you carry the Kensington name.”

Cole gritted his teeth. “She doesn’t understand any of it!”

Sienna spoke up. “So you took my money?”

Cole turned to her, his eyes full of contempt. “Wasting those resources on you would’ve been a joke anyway.”

The moment he said it, Sloane’s expression went ice–cold.

I smiled. I turned to Shaw. “Record it.”

“Cole Kensington knowingly benefited from funds designated for Sienna Kensington while fully aware of

their source.”

“If you helped forge anything, signed off on anything, or touched a single dollar that wasn’t yours, we’re coming for every cent.”

Shaw nodded. “Understood.”

I kept going. “Freeze the London flat.”

“Suspend the startup fund.”

“Revoke the Junior Board Observer seat.”

“Withdraw every recommendation letter, networking slot, and course sponsorship derived from Sienna’s

development programs.”

Cole’s face crumbled.

“Grandma!”

“Don’t.”

I looked at him. “You lost the right to call me that.”

Julian sneered.

“Mom, you think one word from you erases everything I’ve contributed?”

“I still have properties. Equity.”

I nodded. “You do. But you forgot something.”

“Several of those properties were purchased with Kensington marital funds and registered in your name for

convenience.”

“The equity is restricted beneficial interest. Not your personal bank account.”

“Shaw. Go through everything. Line by line.”

Attorney Shaw said, “Already underway.”

Julian’s composure finally cracked.

“Sloane, you’re really going to do this over a girl?”

Sloane didn’t look at him.

Julian tried to step forward, but estate security blocked him.

He shouted, “I’ve lived under this roof for twenty years!”

I said flatly, “The deed is in my name.”

“As of tonight, you have no access.”

Julian’s face turned purple. Cole supported his father. Before leaving, he glanced back at Sienna.

“Happy now?”

Sienna looked at him.

A long moment passed. Then she shook her head.

“No.”

Her voice was quiet but steady. “It was always mine.”

Cole’s face twisted. I almost laughed.

Now that’s a Kensington.

Not some soft little thing to be pushed around.

After Julian and Cole were escorted out, only the three of us remained in the dining room.

Three generations of Kensington women.

That night, Sienna didn’t stay at the estate.

Sloane wanted her to move back to the main house.

She refused. “I’m going back to school.”

Sloane’s lips moved, then she looked at me.

She wanted me to convince her.

I didn’t.

“Going back to school is fine. But first, we’re going to the hospital.”

Sienna frowned. “I’m not sick.”

I said, “We’ll let the doctor decide that.”
