My Husband Auctioned My Private Photos, I Ruined Him on the Spot Chapter 08

One by one, they claimed the evidence of their partners’ betrayals, hands shaking. “That little

snake. She’ll do anything to climb the ladder. A social-climbing bitch casting a wide net, and

Landon treats her like treasure.”

“Thank God Eve caught on and helped us notice Bianca’s moves. Now we have everything.

When it’s time to divorce, we can force a full forfeiture, he walks away with nothing.”

I sank into the sofa. “I never imagined the girl Landon and I sponsored had plans this big.

Hayes Holdings is starting to turn around. I’ll pay you all back soon.”

“Oh, please. That pocket change for evidence that leaves those jerks with nothing? Totally

worth it. Besides, your company has massive growth potential. Consider this our

investment.”

“Yes-shares. We’re in.”

I couldn’t help but laugh. That night, we drank until we dropped.

But the next morning, while I was still groggy from sleep, Paige shook me awake hard. “Wake

up! Your private photos have been leaked online.”

I sat straight up, all traces of alcohol gone. I grabbed my phone. Sure enough, the three hundred sixty-five photos had been processed in high definition, bundled into a zip file, and spread across the web. My social media inboxes were flooded.

[Never knew you were such a filthy slut. All that Ivy League class, what a joke.]

[How much for a night, baby? You deliver to my door?]

[Lonely, little kitten? I make house calls.]

My hands started to shake. All the materials from the auction had been handed over only to

The only person who could’ve released them was the source himself, Landon.
Before I could call him, his parents Edward and Margaret Ashford’s number flashed on my

screen.

“Eve, sweetheart… we’re so sorry. We only made things worse.”

I froze. “What are you talking about?”

gone

As they explained, I pieced together what had happened. After the auction ended, I had straight to them, laid out the truth, and told them I was filing for divorce. Our families had been close for decades. Before my parents passed, they’d entrusted me to the Ashfords. Over the years, they treated me like their own daughter. I couldn’t leave without telling them.

But what I hadn’t known was that after I left, Edward and Margaret dug into Bianca’s

background. Then, with a few quiet moves, they forced Bianca out of Fairview that very same day. They thought my anger was about Bianca the homewrecker. They didn’t realize that

wasn’t the core issue.

Landon, however, lost his mind when Bianca disappeared. When he found out I’d visited his parents, he immediately assumed I’d tattled and used them to banish her. As payback, he

leaked my private photos across the internet.

By the time I arrived at Ashford Manor, Landon was on his knees in the study. Edward was

lashing his back with a leather belt.

“Apologize! I’m not going to say it again-apologize to her!”

Landon’s hands were bound behind him. His back was already torn open, shirt shredded by

the belt, exposing raw, bloody flesh. The wounds looked even worse than the ones I’d seen that snowy night ten years ago, when I found him in a wolf den.

Still, he clenched his jaw, sweat beading on his forehead from the pain. “No.”

“You wretch!”

Just as Edward was about to strike again, I spoke. “Dad, stop.”

“Eve!”

Edward and Margaret rushed to me. Edward pulled me in front of Landon. “Apologize to Eve!”

Landon, still on his knees, looked at me. His face was twisted in pain, but he forced a sneer

through clenched teeth. “She doesn’t deserve it.”

“You disgrace!”

Edward kicked him hard in the chest, knocking him flat.

I stopped Edward before he could continue. “Dad, I’m divorcing him anyway. Please, calm

down.”

Landon’s eyes flicked toward me. Margaret grabbed my hands, unwilling to let go. “Eve, your

parents entrusted you to us before they passed. If we let you leave like this, after everything

he’s done, how could we ever face their memory?”

I gave her a gentle smile. “Don’t worry. Even after the divorce, you’re still my parents. Landon’s

mistakes are his own. Don’t carry that guilt.”

I pressed two Saint Christopher medals into their hands. “I’m flying to Vancouver tonight. I’ll

be gone for a while. Let these keep you safe until I’m back.”

“Eve…”

They tried to stop me, but I had already turned away, not sparing Landon a single glance as I

closed the door of Ashford Manor behind me.

Edward hurled the belt to the floor, pointing at Landon. “Look at what you’ve done! You drove

away the best thing that ever happened to this family. You don’t deserve her.”

Landon let out a cold, short laugh. “You’re both so easily played by her. This is her move-

playing the victim, wrapping you around her finger.”

“Shut your mouth!”

Margaret, furious beyond words, slapped her son for the first time in her life. “When she carried you down that mountain, she shattered her leg. Three months of rehab, not one

complaint. And you stand there saying she fakes everything?”

Landon paused, then let out a dismissive breath. “You’ve got it all wrong. The one who

carried me down was Bianca. Not her.”

“How dare you bring up that name!”

Edward, shaking with rage, threw a stack of photos in his face. “Take a look. This is your

innocent, pure, untouched girl.”
