My Husband Auctioned My Private Photos, I Ruined Him on the Spot Chapter 09

The photos scattered across the floor, Bianca entwined with men from every corner of high society, scenes even more explicit than my three hundred sixty-five photos.

“What is this?”

Landon’s head jerked up. “Did Evelyn give you these? Don’t fall for her tricks.”

“We barely had to look to find this filth. You think we needed her help?”

Edward tossed a compressed video folder at him. Every file matched a photo. Something

inside Landon cracked.

Not just because Bianca had been with so many men, but because in the videos, she was performing athletic positions that would be impossible if her leg had ever been injured. Yet the girl who’d carried him through the snow had clearly shattered her leg. Hadn’t she?

Margaret wiped her tears. “Eve saved the wrong man. To keep you from worrying, she checked herself into a rehab facility after the rescue. I visited her for three months. Steel pins drilled into her bone and she never made a sound. And this is how you repaid her.”

Landon swayed. Three months in a rehab facility. That was why he hadn’t seen Evelyn after he woke up. He’d believed she was heartless, abandoning him for three months while another girl stayed by his side. So that was the truth.

“Where are you going?”

Edward shouted at his son, who was staggering toward the door. Landon’s hands dripped

blood from tearing through the ropes, but he didn’t seem to feel it. “I’m going to bring her

back.”

“Leave her alone. She despises you now,” Margaret said, voice thick with bitter

disappointment.

Landon froze at the doorframe, his throat working. Then he gritted his teeth and kept moving.

“I can fix it. There’s always a way to fix it. There has to be…”

But by the time he reached Fairview International Airport, the plane had already departed. A frantic search only revealed she’d taken a flight to a connecting country. Her final destination

was unknown. He called Paige Sullivan immediately, but Paige was evasive. “I only know she

left. I don’t know where.”

“You do know.”

Landon’s voice was absolute. “She would never hide it from you. Did she tell you not to tell

me?”

Paige was silent for a moment. “No. But Landon, after everything you’ve done, do you really think you have the right to face her?”

She hung up and blocked him.

Landon stood alone in the vast terminal, travelers streaming past him. When he spotted a woman with a similar silhouette, he lunged and grabbed her arm. “Babe!”

The terrified expression on the stranger’s face brought him crashing back to reality. He let go,

defeated.

His phone rang. It was his assistant. “Mr. Ashford, Mrs. Ashford filed a lawsuit against you

for illegal auction practices. But I’ve already issued her a tenfold settlement, scrubbed all

traces of the photos from the web, and quashed the topics. She’s withdrawn the suit.”

“Who told you to settle?”

Landon’s voice was hoarse. The assistant was baffled. “What?”

“I said, who gave you permission to settle!”

The assistant hesitated. “Sir, I know you dislike her, but if we hadn’t, you would’ve faced

charges. If that affected Ashford Group’s business…”

“Then let it affect business.”

“Excuse me?”

The assistant was completely lost. Landon felt a sudden, bone-deep exhaustion. He didn’t feel like explaining. He hung up and slumped onto an airport bench. If there hadn’t been a settlement, he could have at least seen her in court. But now, where was he supposed to find

her?

His phone rang again. This time, it was Bianca. “Landon, I heard from your assistant you prepared a surprise for me.”

The moment he opened the door, Bianca leaped onto him. But the embrace she expected

didn’t come. Behind Landon stood a group of men. She looked at them, and her face went pale. She stumbled backward. “Landon! Why… why are they here?”

Landon arched an eyebrow. “Business associates who said they’re old friends of yours. I brought them to catch up.”
