My Mean Boyfriend Had Two Completely Different Faces—So DO I Chapter 06

Reid seemed to freeze for a few seconds. 

Then, he snapped, “Ella Miller, do you think my house is a damn landfill? You think you can just leave all your trash 

here?” 

My lips parted, wanting to say something, but I realized it was 

pointless. 

“Whatever you say.” 

I thought I had finally cut ties with him. 

But then, while working a shift at The Velvet Lounge, I ran 

into them again. 

The door to one of the VIP booths wasn’t fully closed. Inside, a 

group of students, some familiar and others not, were 

gathered around Reid. 

Reid had a cigarette dangling from his lips. 

As the flame flickered and caught, someone couldn’t help but 

ask, “Reid, you’re smoking again?” 

The guy immediately shut his mouth, realizing he’d 

overstepped. 

Before we started dating, Reid had a heavy nicotine habit. But I 

have chronic rhinitis and can’t stand the smell. He used to call 

me “needy” and “difficult,” but he actually cut back on the smoking 

On the rare occasions he did light up, he’d wait outside the apartment until the scent cleared before coming upstairs. 

Hearing the question, Reid paused while tucking his lighter away. He shot the guy a chilling look. 

“You done talking?” 

The others in the booth scrambled to smooth things over. 

One of them piped up, “Hey, Reid’s finally free of that simp Ella. Why shouldn’t he enjoy a few cigarettes?” 

Reid kept his eyes low, his voice cold. “Don’t mention her name.” 

Everyone exchanged looks. Word was out that Reid’s temper had been nuclear lately. Seeing him in person, they realized the rumors were true. 

Reid’s best friend grinned as he poured him a drink. 

“Everyone knows Ella is head over heels for you, man. You couldn’t kick her out if you tried.” 

“She’ll probably act out for two or three days, then come crawling back the second she realizes she can’t live without you.” 

Reid exhaled a thin cloud of smoke. “You talk too much.” 

But anyone could see the irritability in his eyes had settled slightly. 

Suddenly, someone spotted me through the door. “Ella? What the hell are you doing here?” 

Reid’s friend immediately smirked. 

“What did I tell you? Not even two weeks and she’s already 

here to beg for a second chance.” 

Reid looked up and asked. “What do you want?” 

Before I could answer, the other students started jeering. 

“What else? She’s here to make up with you, Reid!” 

“So, Ella, what’s the plan this time? How are you going to win 

him back?”
