Sierra realized she had been exposed. She panicked and tried to grab the silicone mask from my hand. 

When that failed, she gritted her teeth and kept lying. 

“Dad, what are you talking about? I’m your daughter, Sierra.” 

“Don’t you recognize me?” 

“I don’t know what this bitch did to me, but I am really your daughter.” 

I laughed coldly. “Really? Your daughter died a long time ago. This impostor killed her and stole her life.” 

“Ask her something only your daughter would know. See if the impostor can answer.” 

Arthur hesitated, but he finally asked, “What is my daughter’s favorite food?” 

“When was the first time I took you to an amusement park?” 

“Do you prefer swimming or diving?” 

The fake Sierra couldn’t answer at all. She looked at Julian for help. 

But as soon as I exposed her, Julian was terrified. He stood in the corner like a coward, not daring to say a word. 

The impostor had no choice but to guess. 

“I like mangoes. The first trip to the amusement park was on my birthday. I like swimming because I feel free in the water.” 

Arthur’s lips curled into a smile. 

The impostor thought she had fooled him. She started to relax. Then Arthur announced in an icy cold voice, “Congratulations. All wrong.” 

“My daughter was allergic to mangoes. She never went to an amusement park. And she hated both swimming and diving because she was afraid of water.” 

“You worthless impostor. You killed my daughter and took her place. Tie her up and dump her in the lake.” 

The impostor was terrified. She begged Julian to save her. “Julian, help me.” 

“You promised. Once I gave you a son, you would find a way for us to take everything. The money, the house, everything.” 

“You can’t abandon me.” 

With one sentence, she exposed their entire conspiracy. 

Arthur gritted his teeth and ordered his men to tie them up. They were hung upside down and dunked in the pond until they told him where his daughter was. 

They broke down quickly. They confessed to killing the real Sierra Sterling and burying her in the rose garden. 

Arthur sent men to dig immediately. 

When he saw his daughter’s body laid out in front of him, he 

broke down crying. 

Then he announced that the two of them would be cut up and 

fed to the fish. 

My birth mother screamed and passed out on the spot. 

It turned out the fake Sierra was the daughter she had after 

remarrying. Julian was her son–in–law too. 

No wonder they worked together so smoothly to frame me. 

Birds of a feather. 

Arthur coldly disposed of all four of them. Then he had the 

blood washed off the floor. 

The Sheriff’s Office showed up late, as usual. 

When asked how four people died, everyone, following 

Arthur’s orders, gave the same story. 

The fake Sierra had tried to show the baby the newly 

purchased wild animals. 

She accidentally fell over the railing and was eaten by the 

animals. 

Julian and my birth mother tried to save her and were killed by 

the animals too. 

Derek was furious at all the lying. He wanted to step forward 

and tell the truth, but I stopped him. 

I asked the sheriff to take us to a hospital. 

I didn’t say a word about how Arthur had threatened and hurt 

us. 

Even after I was treated and released, even when I went back 

to the office, I kept quiet. 

Derek didn’t understand. He asked why I was covering for a 

monster. 

Did I forget that he threw me into the predator enclosure and nearly got me killed? 

I didn’t answer. Instead, I asked him if he had proof. 

Derek was speechless. But he insisted that even without proof, 

the monster shouldn’t get away with it. 

He was right. But the law doesn’t believe accusations without 

evidence. 

So I waited. 

I waited for a chance to take down the richest man in New 

England for good. 

And that chance showed up that same night.
