Seven Years As His Wife… Until My Own Son Called Me A Homewrecker Chapter 06

I knew at once that the videos were Al-generated.

Then I noticed one detail. Three tiny moles formed a straight line near the woman’s hip, exactly where mine

were.

The first time Adrian saw them, he had remarked that their arrangement was unusual. No one else knew

their precise location.

He had provided the details used to make those videos. He had orchestrated the entire smear campaign, all

to make Vanessa feel secure.

Pain locked around my chest until I could barely draw breath.

“Why?” I looked at him through burning eyes. “Why would you fabricate something like this and destroy my

life?”

Adrian frowned, already impatient with me.

“You should ask yourself that. None of this would have happened if you hadn’t sent Vanessa our marriage

certificate.”

“I didn’t send it!” My voice cracked through the room. “I moved out weeks ago. I couldn’t even get into the

estate. How could I have taken it?”

The door opened, and Noah charged at me. His head struck my abdomen.

“You did it! I saw you!” he screamed. “You stole the papers and sent them to Mommy Vanessa to make her

sad. Why are you still alive? Why don’t you just die?”

His small fists were clenched, and his eyes were full of hate.

I had once loved this child more than my own life. I did not know when he had become someone I no longer

recognized.

He bit my thigh. I stepped back instinctively, but I never touched him. Still, he threw himself to the floor and

began to howl.

“She pushed me! Daddy, Mommy Vanessa, she pushed me!”

Vanessa swept him into her arms. When she glanced up, the madness vanished from her face. Her eyes

were clear.

She smiled at Noah in approval.

He buried his face against her shoulder and cried even louder. “She’s evil! She hurts both of us!”

Behind them, Adrian looked at me with profound disappointment.

“What happened to you, Mia? How could you hurt your own son?”

I dug my nails into my palms. “I didn’t push him.”

Adrian gave a humorless laugh. “You expect me to believe that your six-year-old son is framing you? Your

own child?”

I would not have believed it either, if I had not watched it happen.

The child I had protected with my life had learned cruelty from the people around him. For the first time, I felt nothing but relief that I had surrendered custody.

“Believe whatever you want,” I said wearily.

Adrian’s expression hardened. “Get on your knees and apologize to Noah and to Vanessa. You don’t stand up until she forgives you.”
