His Thoughts Loved Me, His Cruelty Destroyed Me Chapter 06

“Your… what?!”

Lachlan stared at me, dumbfounded.

Gideon spoke up:

“Mr. Sterling, you heard correctly.”

“Shut up!”

Lachlan’s eyes went blood-red in an instant as he grabbed Gideon by the collar.

“Who do you think you are?!” Lachlan roared in fury. “You’re taking advantage of her while she’s vulnerable, manipulating her!”

“And who put her in that position in the first place?!”

Gideon shot back coldly.

Lachlan froze.

Gideon sneered:

“If my sister and I hadn’t driven by, do you know what would’ve happened to her? In the bushes? In a car? In that creep’s house? Any of those places would have made her beg for death!”

“Stop it!”

Lachlan’s hands trembled violently against Gideon’s shirt.

“Shut up… stop talking…”

His inner thoughts spiraled into frantic guilt and panic:

[“That bald bastard… How dare he do that to Rowan!”]

[“Why wasn’t I there?!”]

[“Why did I let things drag on so long?!”]

[“How terrified must she have been?”]

[“What on earth was I thinking…”]

[“She actually called me. That smartwatch I gave her only had my number saved. I wanted to be the first person she called when she was in trouble!”]

[“My Luna was in danger, and she had to rely on someone else to save her…”]

[“Lachlan Sterling, what the hell are you doing?!”]–

His fists shook uncontrollably at his sides.

“You and your sister saved her. I’ll make sure you’re properly compensated.”

His voice was forced into a cold, stiff tone: “But as her mate, I won’t be needing you to help my Luna with

anything ever again.”

“Mate?” Sloan frowned. “Are you really Rowan’s mate?”

Lachlan looked at her, brows furrowed, face full of confusion and annoyance.

“Don’t you know Rowan just had a miscarriage?! If you’re really her mate, why did you make her strip bare

and walk in the freezing wind?!”

“A miscarriage?!”

Lachlan’s eyes widened in horror, his wolf pupils shaking wildly.
