He Made My Wedding Dress Half a Size Too Small, Then Begged Chapter 07

Every call, every text-all of them were ignored.

Emma had blocked him on every social platform. He made burner accounts just to try to reach her.

While searching, he kept reworking the ill-fitting gown.

He dragged friends into the hunt. Two weeks later, he finally traced her IP address to New Zealand.

He booked the next flight out and brought the adjusted dress with him.

Once there, he tried for days to find her. But one man’s search was slow and limited.”

He used business inquiries with local design firms as cover. Finally, Emma’s name appeared on a

partner company’s roster.

The night before the meeting, he ironed his suit.

But the whole pitch went by without a single glimpse of her.

As he was leaving, he couldn’t hold back anymore. “I heard you have a designer who just transferred from the States? I was hoping she could consult on this project-this collection leans

Eastern, and her perspective would help.”

“Oh, you mean Emma Holloway? Alexander took her to an art exhibition. Won’t be back until next

month.”

Liam’s jaw clenched so hard his teeth ached. “Alexander!”

He tracked down the exhibition hall and told the owner he was a husband trying to reconcile with his wife. Could he borrow the space?

The owner agreed happily.

The next morning, Liam set up early, placing the altered gown in the center of the hall, alongside a banner with an apology written on it.

He finished setting everything up and waited for me to arrive.

But the owner thought his “wife” was Victoria-since that’s what the internet had broadcasted

everywhere. So he invited Victoria on Liam’s behalf without telling him.

When spectators gathered, they expected a reunion. Instead, they saw Liam gape at Victoria in

shock.

“Victoria? What are you doing here?”

Everyone froze. “Wait-isn’t your wife Victoria? Didn’t you two just get married?”

Liam’s face fell. He wanted to deny it, but then he remembered-they’d legally filed the license.

Victoria went pale, then recovered when he didn’t contradict her. “I just got here early, that’s all.” She hooked her arm through his. “Right, Liam?”

He didn’t answer.

Then applause broke out from the crowd. “I guess it’s true-designer and supermodel, a real love

story!”

Liam’s eyes went wide. He’d almost accepted it, but then he saw me walking in on Alexander’s arm/

His last shred of composure shattered. He rushed toward me.

“No! My wife is Emma Holloway!”
