Alpha, You Lost Your Luna Chapter 03

Alpha, You Lost Your Luna Chapter 03

They were afraid I was still too clear-headed. They were afraid that the second I opened my mouth, I would spill all the things that were never meant to be said.

They didn’t want me dead.

They wanted me alive, but only in a state where I was neither human nor ghost.

Half an hour later, the door opened.

A dozen or so socialite she-wolves and wealthy heiresses walked in, dressed to the nines and smiling brightly.

“Oh, Building Six… I heard things get pretty lively over there. What an interesting place for you to end up.”

I wanted to hide, but I couldn’t move.

I was strapped tight to the bed, so helpless I couldn’t even struggle.

They grew bolder with every word, circling my bed and pointing at me like I was something on display.

“These whip marks… did that bunch do this to you?”

“I heard that when they carried you out, you were covered in blood, with scratches and bite marks all over you. I wonder if that part’s true.”

I clenched my teeth, wishing I could disappear into myself.

“Get… get out.”

They laughed even harder.

“Miss Daphne is about to be publicly acknowledged as Luna. Winterveil Pack has already signed off on it, so you probably won’t even come close to her anymore.”

The taste of blood rose in my throat, and my eyes burned.

Just as they were reaching for my blanket, a cold male voice came from the doorway.

“Stop.”

It was Landon.

His expression was terrifyingly cold as he walked to the bed and pulled the blanket back over me. “Violet, your brother failed to protect you.”

“I thought they came to see you. I didn’t expect this.”

I looked at him and said nothing.

What a performance.

When Nora saw how empty my expression had gone, she finally couldn’t hold back anymore and secretly called a Healer.

When the Healer arrived and examined me, his face grew darker with every second.

“Princess’s arms were left untreated for far too long. They should have been set days ago. Now the bones have already shifted out of place. I’m afraid it’ll be very difficult for them to heal properly.”

“Her external wounds were never cleaned either. They’re already infected. The dead tissue has to be cut away.”

Landon’s face turned dark with rage. “Those useless idiots couldn’t even manage basic wound care. Drag every last one of them out and punish them by Pack law.”

“Then banish them. None of them are ever coming back.”

He turned and took my hand, his voice gentle and heavy.

“Violet, I’ll support you for the rest of your life.”

“No matter what becomes of you, you’ll always be the sister I cherish most.”

Nora dropped to her knees beside the bed, crying. “Miss Violet, I’ll stay with you. I’ll stay with you for the rest of my life…”

A tear slipped from the corner of my eye.

Wasn’t this exactly what they wanted?

First they ruined me, and now they wore expressions full of grief and remorse, waiting for my gratitude, waiting for my forgiveness, so they could keep stepping over me with clear consciences.

“Don’t cry, Violet,” my wolf whispered low in the depths of my soul. “They aren’t worth your tears, your love, or your trust.”

By the time the Healer began cleaning my wounds, the sedatives had stopped working.

I felt every cut as it came down. I felt every strip of rotting flesh carved away. The pain was so intense it blotted out the world.

He worked with tears in his eyes, wiping them away as he went. “Princess has suffered enough…”

And in that moment, I suddenly realized something.

The most sincere person in this place was this Healer, a man I had never even met before.

After my wounds were treated, I leaned against the headboard. While he was changing my dressings, I asked him to quietly smuggle a letter out for me.

All the loyal people around me had long since been replaced by Landon.

Only Nora remained.

And she no longer belonged to me.

If I wanted to survive, I couldn’t keep relying on the people closest to me.

Three days later, the entire Packlands was in chaos.

News of what had happened to me in Building Six spread through every circle like wildfire.

Secretly recorded videos, maliciously edited clips, anonymous exposé posts, and trashy pamphlets and comics depicting me in humiliating ways were everywhere online.

Violet, the Luna everyone once envied, had become the biggest joke in the upper circles overnight.

That day, Nora came in carrying a pile of luxury gift boxes, forcing a smile. “Princess, these are from Alpha Griffin and Landon. They’re all your favorites.”

Leaning against the headboard, I asked in a hoarse voice, “Griffin is going public with Daphne, isn’t he?”
