Caught Him Cheating—A Week to Make Him Bitterly Regret It Chapter 03

Sitting in my car, a thought suddenly struck me.

Seven days to leave. But I couldn’t wait another moment.

I said to the Interface. “I want to punish Lucas. I want him to regret this for the rest of his life.”

The Interface said, “Okay. Let me find you a few good options.”

It sifted through its data.

“First, I can give you cancer. You’ll die right in front of Lucas on your last day. He’ll regret not cherishing you for the rest of his life.”

“Or I can have someone kidnap Lucas, and you take a blade for him. You die saving him. Then he’ll feel both regret and guilt.”

“Or, oh, I’ve got another one. I arrange for both you and Stella to be kidnapped. The kidnapper makes Lucas choose one of you.”

“You force him to choose Stella, and then you get thrown off a building. You die right in front of him.”

I rolled my eyes. “Stop. Do I have to hurt myself to make him regret it?”

“Cancer, stabbed, thrown off a building? Where are you even getting these terrible ideas?”

The Interface said, “Well, that’s how those tragic romance stories usually go.”

“After the female lead dies, the cold, aloof CEO-type male lead is devastated with grief. He loses his one true love and lives out the rest of his life alone.”

“Other Interfaces have their hosts do this all the time. There’s one where the male lead forces the female lead to donate a kidney to save his first love, and she dies on the operating table.”

“You have no idea how hard I cried.”

I took a deep breath. “Stop. Your number one priority right now is to delete every novel you’ve got stored in your brain.”

The Interface pouted. “Well, it’s not like you can just kill him.”

I smiled. Why not?

“He’s the protagonist of this story. Even if he dies, he’ll come back to life,” the System reminded me.

Oh, that’s even better.

Early the next morning, I watched Lucas walk toward Stella’s apartment building carrying a bag of groceries.

There was no one around.

When he reached the middle of the street, I stepped on the gas and drove straight at him.

I didn’t hesitate.

The impact echoed sharply.
