I Saw Our Remaining Meetings Dropped From 31441 To 9 Chapter 12

Just two words, and I was giggling like an idiot, already teasing him again.

[Replying in the shower? Someone likes me. How far along are you? Show me.]

This time, his side stayed silent for a long time. I covered my mouth, laughing.

I could perfectly picture Miles’s face going bright red. While I was still snickering, a video call popped up.

My eyes flew open. I almost dropped my phone.

This guy actually dared…

After a few seconds of internal war, I answered, my face hot-and found him already wrapped up

tight in a bath towel.

Seeing my flushed cheeks, Miles dried his hair and let out a soft laugh. His eyes glinted. The wet strands dripped.

Water traced down his cool-toned jaw, slid past his throat, and soaked into the towel draped over

his shoulders.

His laughter made me defensive. I knew he was laughing at me-all bark, no bite-and it pissed me

off.

“Why are you wrapped up like a burrito? Pull the towel down a little.”

His hand paused mid-dry. The tips of his ears reddened. I thought he’d pretend not to hear, but his elegant fingers actually tugged the towel down.

The second I saw the broad lines of his arms and his collarbone, I swallowed.

“Miles, you’re so generous.”

He coughed twice, clearly choking on my words.

“A little more.”

He obediently tugged lower. The red spread from his ears down his neck. Even the center of his

chest was dusted pink.

“Keep going.”

“Just a little more.”

A long moment later, a soft sigh came through the screen. His upper body was flushed pink from embarrassment, but his knuckles were white from restraint.

“Rowan, this is as far as I can go.”

I pressed my lips together, a little regretful. “Fine.”

“Miles, you’re so generous-do you show this to everyone?”

The screen angled back to his gorgeous face. He frowned slightly.

“Only you. The Code says let no one else see what’s Rowan’s…”

I nearly spat out my milk. “Okay, stop reciting. I get it.”

We stared at each other in silence.

Miles was so beautiful. Not just his face-even the way he looked at me was all sparkling light.

Just as I thought that, a notification sound came from his end. The next second, the light in his eyes dimmed, just a little. I caught it instantly and leaned closer.

Yep. The corners of his mouth had dipped. Barely, but I saw it.

“Who messaged you?”

Miles looked a little caught off guard, but answered obediently.

“Don’t know her. Unknown number. She says her name is Jenna Wright.”

My heart lurched. Miles’s brows drew together gently.

“I already blocked her. The Code says engage with no one but Rowan…”
