He Sent a Fake to Scare Me Off, I Ended Up Feeding Him for Months Chapter 12

Only then did I learn that this wasn’t the first time Elias had been treated this way.

A group of boys led by Trent constantly found excuses to bully him.

People underestimated how vicious jealousy could make teenage boys.

Elias was brilliant and handsome, so plenty of girls liked him despite his poverty.

He turned down every love letter and every girl who asked him out, but that didn’t stop plenty of

others from crushing on him.

Trent and his friends couldn’t stand it. As far as they were concerned, someone as poor as Elias had

no right to attract that kind of attention.

So they bullied him and even started disgusting sexual rumors about him.

Once, Elias helped a child on his way to school. He was nearly late afterward, so the child’s mother drove him to campus in her Bentley. Trent and his friends saw him getting out of her car.

By the end of the day, the entire school was claiming that a wealthy older woman was paying Elias to sleep with her.

“I can’t believe Elias is that kind of guy. He always looks so quiet and clean-cut, but apparently

he’ll sleep with an older woman for money.”

“I heard he had beads implanted down there just to keep those women happy.”

“Well, that explains it. I couldn’t understand why some rich woman would want him, but I guess he’ll do anything for money.”

The situation eventually got so out of hand that the woman who had driven him to school came to

campus herself with traffic-surveillance footage. Only after she explained what had happened was Elias’s name finally cleared.

But the school gave Trent and his friends little more than a slap on the wrist. It didn’t even issue a public statement clearing Elias’s name.

This time, I dragged Elias straight to the principal’s office.

“Savvy.” Elias used my nickname for the first time as he caught my arm.

“Don’t get yourself in trouble because of me.”

I ignored him and kept pulling.

Elias could tell I was furious. Even though he towered over me, he bent forward and let me drag him along without another word.

Unfortunately for Trent, I’d hired someone to record our confrontation. Everything he and his friends had said was caught on video, so there was no denying it.

I made such a scene that the school couldn’t quietly bury the incident. If the principal still refused

to handle it, I was fully prepared to post the video on TikTok.

By the time Elias and I walked out of the principal’s office, I felt thoroughly vindicated.

When I turned around, I realized he’d been watching me the entire time with open admiration,

I immediately straightened my back and cleared my throat.

“Don’t forget to help me with the disciplinary essay they’re making me write.”

The video had also captured me slapping Trent. The school understood that I’d been trying to

rescue Elias, but I still had to face some consequences.

Elias smiled. “Okay.”
