The Invisible Luna’s Revenge Chapter 07

The Invisible Luna’s Revenge Chapter 07

He still thought I was the same girl who’d be ashamed of her body even when I was invisible

Pathetic. Watching him, I walked straight through the noisy crowd. They couldn’t see me. What difference did

that make

Jack’s entire body froze instantly. Only he could see me. The rest of them had no idea there was a naked

invisible woman standing right in the middle of them

You little-!He gritted through his teeth and lunged

toward me

Before he could finish the sentence, the doorbell rang

again. A group of women walked inall models or

strippers, including that Chloe from before. The guys

whistled and catcalled. Damn, Jack! You thought of

everything!”

Chloe pouted and pushed her way forward. Jack, you

invited them too?”

Jack glanced at me one last time, a cruel smirk

spreading across his face, and crooked his finger

Chloe walked over to him and settled onto his lap

Jack”

You want this, don’t you?He pulled my ring out of his pocketmy ringand slid it onto her finger. It’s

yours now.”

Her eyes went wide. Really? Oh my God, Jack, I love

you!”

The crowd erupted into cheers and congratulations

Finally got rid of her, man. Told you that Omega of

yours was nothing but trouble. Good riddance.”

Chloe smiled brightly, stroking her hand where the

ring sat. See? I know how to appreciate a good Alpha

werewolf.”

Jack held her, but his hand was already wandering to

another woman standing nearby

Scum who never changed

After realizing I wasn’t breaking down, Jack stepped up

his cruelty. He was completely wasted, belligerent and

aggressive. He slung Chloe over his arm, grabbed

another woman’s hand, and headed straight for the

open bedroom

Jack, baby, slow downwait, she’s coming too?”

Chloe complained, her eyes flicking over the other

woman

Don’t like it? Then get out,Jack slurred, and threw

her onto the bed

Chloe stared at the ring on her finger. Fame. That was

what she craved. This disgraced Alpha was her ticket

into high society. She bit her lip. II like it.”

A crude cheer erupted from the living room. The

bedroom door was left wide open. Men craned their necks to gawk. My stomach churned. This wasn’t the shy boy who’d confessed to me years ago. Maybe that boy had never even existed

Clenching down on the heartache, I hid by the doorway, pulled out my old phone, and hit the record button. The minutes dragged on like a year. When those grunts and explicit exchanges finally ended, I quickly stowed my

phone away

Then I walked into the room, making sure Jack saw me

His rhythm completely fell apart

Get out!he roared suddenly, shoving both women away. Both of you! Get the hell out!”

Chloe whimpered, Jack, what did I do wrong? Tell me, I’ll make it up to you!”

I said get out!He hurled their clothes at them. Terrified, they fumbled to pull their outfits on. The whole party crowd scrambled for the door

I walked calmly over to the bed, sat down, and blew on

my fingernails

Whoa, what’s going on here, man?Someone peeked

their head in

Jack had completely lost it. All of you! get out!”

The party went dead quiet instantly. People set down

their glasses, murmured to each other, grabbed their

coats and bolted. Only Leo stayed behind, hesitant. Alphawhat the hell is going on? Is ither?”

Jack started laughing low, his shoulders shaking. He

spoke to the empty air, Anna, you think this little stunt of yours changes anything? Without me, you’re nothing. You’re just a ghost! You think you can survive out there? You’ll come crawling back on your hands and knees begging, and I’ll make you beg for my mercy!”

Remember you said that, Jack,I spoke calmly

It was the first time I’d spoken with other people in the

room

Leo turned pale and ran out, leaving the trashed apartment full of empty bottles and garbage, looking like a total dump. Jack, exhausted by rage and alcohol, eventually passed out on the couch

My old phone lit up. It was a text from Ben: [I’m

outside.

I dug an old pair of jeans and a sweater out of the back of my closet, grabbed my phone, the files, and that precious vial of potion, and walked out. I didn’t look

back

Ben was waiting in his car across the street. When he saw the floating dress hanging in midair, his jaw dropped. Holy shit, it really was true this whole time! We need to go see Mr. Aldrich. Now.He quickly pulled open the passenger door

After I slid into the seat, I glanced back one last time

The lights of the penthouse in the distance flickered

Goodbye, Jack.
