I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 05

I Stopped My Kind Son From Being Framed Chapter 05

Two uniformed officers strode into the office with heavy, purposeful steps.

The lead officer scanned the chaotic room.

“Who called 911?”

I raised my hand.

“I did.”

The officer took in the scene, his brow furrowed.

“What’s the situation here? The dispatcher noted attempted sexual assault and extortion.”

Chloe suddenly threw herself off the sofa, dropping to her knees right in front of the officers.

“Officers, please save me… he tried to hurt me…”

She pointed a trembling finger at Ethan, deliberately exposing the scratches on her neck and her torn shirt.

“I’m just a scholarship kid from the middle of nowhere… I have nobody. His family has money, and they’re

trying to destroy me…”

The self-righteous students immediately started shouting in support.

“Officer, we can all testify! Ethan Miller is a monster!”

“Yeah! Lock him up!”

The lead officer frowned, looking over at Ethan.

“Did you do this?”

Ethan stood perfectly straight, his gaze clear and steady.

“No, sir. I haven’t even been to the library today.”

A boy suddenly shoved his way through the doorway.

“You’re a liar!”

“I saw it! I saw it with my own eyes!”

He pointed aggressively at Ethan, shouting for the room to hear.

“At 1:30 PM, I was walking past the library’s north fire exit. I heard a girl screaming inside. I ran over just in time to see Ethan running out, looking panicked!”

Chloe looked at the boy, her sobbing intensifying.

“Thank you, Logan… thank you for standing up for the truth…

Logan puffed out his chest, looking every bit the heroic protector.

Vance immediately turned to me, a smug smirk spreading across his face.

“Well, Valerie, we have an eyewitness and physical evidence. What else do you have to say?”

Arthur scrambled over, grabbing my arm in a panic, tears and snot smearing his face.

“Valerie, I am begging you! Just make him confess! We can plead down, get probation!”

He whipped his head toward the cops.

*Officers, we confess! We’ll settle this! We’ll pay whatever it takes!”

Logan helped Chloe to her feet.

She looked at me, her voice soft, but every word was a calculated strike.

“Ma’am, I know you want to protect your son, but facts are facts.”

“If Ethan kneels down and begs for my forgiveness in front of the entire university, and gives up his

scholarships and his direct master’s fellowship…”

She paused, letting out a heavy, tragic sigh.

“I will drop the charges at the precinct and sign a waiver so he doesn’t have to go to prison.”

The surrounding students instantly erupted into loud applause.

“Chloe is way too sweet!”

“A piece of trash like that deserves jail time, and she’s still giving him a chance!”

“Miller, get on your knees and thank her!”

The malice and pressure in the room reached a fever pitch.

I calmly smoothed out my clothes, my tone entirely unbothered.

“Chloe Jenkins.”

“You just stated that the library’s north security camera has been broken for a month. Correct?”

Chloe blinked, momentarily caught off guard, and glanced instinctively at Davis.

Davis let out a cold snort.

“Ms. Miller, what are you trying to spin now? The facilities log shows clearly that the camera there is offline.”

I smiled.

“Vice Chancellor Davis, your memory seems remarkably short.”

I reached into my bag, pulled out a notarized, official agreement, and slammed it directly onto Vance’s desk.
