His ‘Love Coach’ Planned Every Step of Our Relationship, She Also Planned Its End Chapter 04

That same evening, as I was finishing up packing my suitcase to leave, Logan walked through the door.

No apologies passed his lips, nor did he bother to ask why my bags were packed. Instead, he immediately went to work trying to smooth things over on Darcy’s behalf.

“Tomorrow, I need to help Darcy make her crush jealous by staging a fake confession,” he announced. “So, we’re going to have to cancel our anniversary dinner.”

Terrified that I would put my foot down, he kept piling on the excuses.

“She’s done so much for us as our relationship coach, I owe her one. Besides, if you keep being this petty and narrow-minded, how am I supposed to save face in our social circle…”

Before he could even finish his sentence, I cut him off cleanly. “Fine. Go ahead.”

Seeing how effortlessly I had caved, he looked entirely caught off guard, scrambling to salvage his ego. “I’ll make it up to you, I swear. Don’t be upset.”

I simply shook my head. “No need.”

There would never be a need again.

The next evening, I slipped into the custom gown Felix had arranged for me and arrived at the window seat he had reserved ahead of time.

Out of nowhere, Darcy materialized right in front of my table.

“Logan booked this exact spot for me,” she boasted, eyeing me up and down. “As an independent, modern woman, I really think you should maintain some sense of agency. Stop clinging to a man who clearly wants space.”

Hearing her throw my own words back at me, I couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh.

“As a modern woman, I really think you should get a grip and buy a shame gene,” I countered smoothly. “I don’t see your name stamped on this table.”

Flustered and stung by my comeback, Darcy snapped her head around to look behind her.

Logan stepped up, his expression darkening into a heavy scowl the moment his eyes fell on me. “You really shouldn’t be here, Sylvia. It’s only going to make you miserable to watch.”

Was he trying to spare my feelings, or was he just terrified I would ruin their little romantic charade? The answer didn’t even matter anymore.

Refusing to waste another breath arguing, I simply raised a hand and signaled a nearby waiter. “Excuse me, I think these two have mistaken their table. Could you please double-check where they’re supposed to be seated?”

The waiter quickly reviewed the floor plan and politely guided Logan away.

His face flushed with embarrassment, Logan shot me a thoroughly exasperated look. “Is it really necessary to waste so much money just to spite me?”

He was always so impossibly, breathtakingly confident when it came to me. I stared at him blankly, feeling that even a single word of response would be a waste of energy.

I sat back quietly, waiting for Felix to arrive.

A moment later, a few servers—clearly following Felix’s instructions—began carrying over massive bundles of daffodils to arrange around my table.

Darcy, acting like she owned the place, aggressively blocked their path.

“Ugh, stop! I only like roses. Get these hideous daffodils out of my sight right now!” she commanded loudly. “Logan is proposing to me tonight, what do you think you’re doing ruining the setup?”

The servers froze, utterly bewildered by her outburst.

I spoke up gently, clearing the air for them. “Go ahead and set them up exactly as requested. I’m the actual client here. Listen to me.”

Seeing that I had completely humiliated Darcy in public, Logan instantly stepped in to shield her. “Sylvia, you’re being incredibly unreasonable.”

His loyal pack of bros chimed in right on cue, tossing their petty insults across the floor.

“Seriously, what is your problem?”

“Logan is staging a grand confession for Darcy tonight. Who do you think actually wants you here?”

Before the echoes of their mocking laughter could fade, a crisp, clear voice cut through the entire dining hall.

“I do.”

Felix, dressed in a impeccably tailored suit, parted the crowd effortlessly and dropped to one knee right before me.

“I’m sorry I kept you waiting,” he said, his eyes locked onto mine. “Will you give me the honor of being with you?”
