He Covered for His Fake Innocent Girl, I Sent Both to Prison Chapter 07

He Covered for His Fake Innocent Girl, I Sent Both to Prison Chapter 07

Below the stage, the crowd had completely erupted.

“What the hell is going on here?!”

“That video just now… and she said she called the cops…”

“Don’t tell me there’s actually something twisted behind this…”

“Didn’t you hear? Candy is pregnant! The prop room incident didn’t happen that long ago, which means the two of them were definitely sleeping together way before…”

The murmurs swelled into a deafening roar of whispers.

I raised my head, facing the sea of judgmental faces. My voice cut through the noise, crystal clear.

“I will be compiling the rest of the evidence into a PDF document.”

“And I will upload it directly to the campus Reddit board.”

“Every single one of you can go and read the truth for yourselves.”

The room fell dead silent for a brief second.

Then, the look in everyone’s eyes shifted entirely.

Making no further delay, I turned on my heel and walked out, my steps light and unburdened. I went straight to the hospital.

By the time I arrived, the corridor outside the ER was in absolute chaos. Marcus was standing right outside the room, his eyes bloodshot and raw.

The moment his gaze landed on me, his expression darkened aggressively. He marched over in a

blind rage.

“You still have the nerve to show your face here?!”

“Do you have any goddamn idea what you’ve done?!”

His voice vibrated with suppressed, trembling fury. “Candy’s baby… is gone!”

I looked him dead in the eye, my voice dropping to a quiet whisper.

“The baby in her stomach… is it actually yours?”

Marcus froze. A flicker of hesitation crossed his eyes.

But in the very next second, he snapped his chin up, his tone suddenly dripping with defensive self-righteousness.

“Yes. It’s mine.”

“That’s exactly why I have to step up and take responsibility for her.”

Listening to him, a wave of pure absurdity washed over me.

“You have to take responsibility for her?” I stared at him. “Then what about me? Did I just deserve to be destroyed by the two of you?”

Marcus deflected instinctively, his voice rising sharply. “You’re completely different from her!”

“She was an innocent, pure girl! She gave her first time to me, and she was carrying my child!”

His voice grew louder, laced with a toxic arrogance. “You were so cold, so experienced the first time we slept together! You didn’t give a damn about me! But Candy? She was completely innocent-she saved herself for me, she gave me her absolute first time!”

“Who the hell knows if you were actually-”

He cut himself off abruptly.

The air between us instantly turned suffocatingly still. He cast a brief glance at me, a sudden wave of guilt flickering across his face.

A sharp, agonizing pain pierced straight through my heart, tearing it into shreds.

I stared at him, and then, a hollow laugh escaped my throat. I laughed until hot tears finally spilled over, rolling down my cheeks.

“Marcus Logan.”

“If I had known from the very beginning that this was how you truly viewed me… I would have preferred you never stepped forward to save me back then.”

I held his gaze, delivering each word with chilling finality.

“I truly find you pathetic.”

He frowned, his jaw tightening. “What the hell are you talking about now—”

I looked at him, my voice dropping to an eerie whisper.

“I just hope that once the full truth comes out… you can manage to stay this unyielding.”

He blinked, utterly thrown off, his expression turning deeply bewildered.

Right at that exact moment, the heavy thud of footsteps echoed down the far end of the corridor.

A group of law enforcement officers marched briskly toward us, coming to a halt right in front of.

the ward.

The lead officer addressed us, his voice clinical and authoritative: “We received a formal report regarding a case of felony assault and sexual misconduct. Please cooperate with the investigation.”

Marcus’s face went an apocalyptic shade of pale. He immediately stepped forward, waving his

hands frantically.

“It’s a mistake! This is all a massive misunderstanding!”

He pointed a trembling finger directly at me. “She made a fraudulent police report! The victim inside and I are legally married! She’s just consumed by jealousy, so she’s deliberately trying to fabricate a crime!”

The officer cast a cold, indifferent glance at him, completely ignoring his frantic deflections. He walked right past Marcus, pushed open the door to the ward, and stepped inside.

Candy was lying on the bed, her face a sickly, chalky white.

Before she could even open her mouth to spin another lie, a firm hand clamped down on her wrist, a pair of heavy iron handcuffs clicking into place.

“Candy Sweet. You are officially under arrest in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation. You’re coming with us.”

Marcus lost his absolute mind. He lunged forward frantically, throwing his body between the officers and the hospital bed.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?! She’s the victim here! You guys have to be making a mistake!”

The officer looked at him with an icy glare, casually using one arm to shove Marcus out of the way. “We received a verified report with concrete evidence,” the officer stated firmly. “Candy Sweet is a

primary suspect in a felony case involving drugging and assaulting an individual. The victim has formally pressed charges. She is our suspect.”

Marcus froze completely, the revelation hitting him like a physical blow to the head.

“…No. That’s impossible.”

“That’s completely impossible…”
