Olivia’s face changed instantly.

Her voice turned sharp and wounded.

“Ethan, she insulted me first. She…”

“I know what kind of person Claire is,” Ethan interrupted. “She wouldn’t attack you without a reason.”

Disbelief spread across Olivia’s face.

“You trust her that much? You’ve only been with her for how long, and you believe her over me?”

I didn’t want to argue with them.

I lowered my head and tapped a few times on my phone.

Very calmly, I said, “I spent a lot of money finding this information. Keeping it to myself would be a waste. Let’s all look at it together.”

After saying that, I created a three-person WhatsApp group with me, Ethan, and Olivia.

Then I dumped in every screenshot, link, and timeline I had.

Messages popped up on the screen one after another.

The timeline showing Olivia moving in with that man right after she broke up with Ethan.

Photos of that man messing around with Olivia one night and marrying a pregnant woman the next day.

Olivia suddenly went silent. Her hands were shaking.

“No…”

I left the group.

I put my phone back into my pocket and turned to go.

Behind me came Olivia’s panicked voice.

“Ethan, let me explain. Those things might not be true. She had someone fake them…”

Ethan told her to get lost.

I crossed the lobby, pushed open the door, and walked into the parking garage.

Just as I was about to get into my car, hurried footsteps sounded behind me.

Ethan caught up.

The instant I pulled the door open, his hand pressed against it.

He was breathing hard.

“Claire, don’t go.”

“I didn’t ask her to come here. I ended things with her long ago. I only saw her as a friend.”

I turned to look at him.

“You said Olivia was a friend too.”

“Would you threaten divorce because of any other friend?”

“Would you leave me alone outside a restaurant on New Year’s Eve and tell me to go home and calm down because of any other friend?”

He had no answer.

I smiled with cold sarcasm.

“Ethan, you’re too sloppy with your feelings. You can let her go, but you can’t bear to cut her off.”

“I don’t believe you truly didn’t know she got together with someone soon after going abroad. I don’t believe you didn’t know she valued benefits more than you. You just couldn’t let go.”

His eyes filled with trembling emotion.

“Ten years of feelings were too heavy for you. They were too heavy for our marriage too.”

I reached out and pried his fingers off the door.

Then I shut it and started the engine.

In the rearview mirror, he stood still in the same place.

I didn’t look again.

I hit the gas and drove out.
