The Alpha’s Crippled Luna Chapter 05

The Alpha’s Crippled Luna Chapter 05

After leaving with Sara, Ryan comforted her until she calmed down.

He then ordered the pack’s financial department to pay the ransom.

But his Beta reported back shortly after. “They took Luna and vanished!”

Ryan’s pupils dilated in pure shock. “Deploy the elite warriors! Now!”

He tracked the van all the way toward the border.

Then, a massive fireball lit up the horizon.

“That smoke…” He slammed on the gas.

He jumped out of the car, sprinting toward the roaring flames. “Sienna! Sienna!”

Firefighters fought the blaze until nothing but ash remained.

“I’m sorry, Alpha. There’s nothing left inside.”

Ryan rushed into the ruins, tearing through the soot with his bare hands.

He found it—the necklace.

It was the sun-and-moon design he gave her the day they bonded.

Sienna’s scent was completely gone, replaced entirely by the smell of charred wood.

He squeezed the scorching metal in his fist until it cut into his palm, falling to his knees.

“No! Sienna! Sienna!”

His wolf inside him, Jay, sneered in his mind. “You should have expected this the moment you chose Sara. You lost her a long time ago. Don’t play the grieving mate now. You made me lose Lia forever. You deserve this!”

Ryan roared out loud, “Shut up!”

It was late into the night when he returned to the pack house.

Sara immediately met him at the door, wrapping her arms around his. “Ryan, why are you so late? How is Sienna?”

“She didn’t make it out,” Ryan said, his voice raspy. “She burned to death.”

A flicker of barely concealed excitement crossed Sara’s eyes, though she put on a mournful tone.

“That’s terrible. But maybe it was just her time.”

She tried to hold him, but he pushed her away gently. “Sara, I need some time alone.”

A flash of anger flickered beneath her eyes, but she quickly slipped back into her tender, caring mask.

“I understand you’re hurting. I’ll always be here for you.”

The funeral was lavish, attended by high society from across the pack.

Sara stood beside Ryan, playing the part of the grieving hostess.

Whispers rippled through the crowd.

“Seems Miss Sinclair has already made herself at home.”

“The whole thing is suspicious. Who actually killed Sienna? Maybe it was ‘innocent’ Sara…”

Sara’s smile froze.

Later that day, she sobbed on the sofa.

Ryan held her. “What’s wrong?”

“They’re saying I killed Sienna,” she whimpered.

He frowned. “The kidnappers did it, not you.”

He slipped a black card into her hand. “Buy yourself whatever you want.”

At first, she spent sparingly.

Then, she began filling the mansion with luxury items—art, furniture, designer clothes.

One day, Ryan noticed his mating photo with Sienna was missing.

“Where is it?” he asked a servant.

“Miss Sinclair said it was an eyesore and told us to put it away.”

“Where is she?”

“She went out. Didn’t say where.”

Unease crept down his spine.

His phone buzzed with a banking alert.

The transaction location: Southgate Prison.

He drove there immediately.

Through the window, he saw Sara embracing a tall, thin man who had just walked out through the gates.

Ryan recognized him instantly.

Sara’s brother, Victor Sinclair.
